It would be nice if there were classes between 7.30 and 9.30 am. :)

Great facilities and great addition to Birmingham University, my only criticism of the new pool is the floor is constantly wet and slippery and it is only a matter of time before someone slips and injures themselves. There wasn't this issue at Monrow.

Have to say I have enjoyed using the pool facilities. Although they could have notified members that the pool is shut between 9 and half past due to setting it up ready for the school participation on site (Bit more communication). Staff were friendly though and I could still use the Sauna etc.
So far so good

Lovely friendly gym - love Body Pump (although weights are low at present) especially Laura's class although Esthers class was good too. Also I think I enjoyed Body Balance with Laura but it did show me just how inflexible I am I need to kick myself into shape for my son's wedding on 1st September 2018, and I think with the help of people like Laura I just may get there More...

Please may I request that university sports club members get access to the sports centre's bike parking?

The bike park is almost empty when I need to use it. My club will be paying thousands of pounds to use the sports centre, and I pay my club hundreds of pounds to be part of it. The website states "There are 80 free, secure bicycle spaces within Sport & Fitness’ car park".

The sports centre should be encouraging cycling rather than making it unnecessarily difficult. Bikes don't take up the space of a car so parking should not be as restricted. I am sure the sports centre would lose no money in allowing university sports club members to use the bike parking when we are going to training.

People are forced to lock their bikes on the fences around the sports centre, which is both unsightly and ridiculous considering there is sheltered bike parking mere metres away. There is no other nearby convenient sheltered bike parking.

The sports centre is a university building - surely it should treat the students using it better than this.

I am very impressed with this gym. Only reservation i have is that the price is creeping up which may result in me having to shop around in the future.

I absolutly love this place. The staff are super friendly, considerate, will do anything to try and help you and are a pleasure to great each day. Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly needs to check themselves. I do about 7 - 8 classes each week and the instructors are all great. On the odd occasion ones been unwell, Helen has stepped in... Then you definitely get a good workout as she is fierce!!! Love a dip in the pool, even if to me, it is a bit nippy. You soon warm through though! Then there's the sauna! Gym is great with more than enough equipment! I'm still yet to try the climbing wall or the squash courts!! Its well worth the money!! More...

What a fantastic place. Lots of variety to choose from including classes, swimming, squash, climbing and the well equipped gym. There’s a range of memberships so you can tailor your plan to what you enjoy.

The classes are the highlight for me. There are so many to choose from and the instructors are amazing bringing energy, enthusiasm and fun to every class. All the classes have options for every ability whether you are new to exercise or a fitness pro and everyone is always made to feel welcome!! Outstanding group exercise classes run by fabulous staff.

The swimming pool is good as far as what I have seen. I haven't try the gym yet, but apparently there is too much people inside during peak time. They should do one-off swimming to people who have membership and their friends want to come along. More...

A new build. There is an Olympic length pool, gym and indoor sports hall. Those accessing the swim pool can also use the steam and sauna rooms. The changing areas are clean with up to date lockers. You need to have a membership to use the facilities. There is a car park available, however if you stay over your allocated time you will have to pay an excessive fee which varies according to your type of membership fee. More...

Great selection of classes with some amazing instructors. Gym is busy at peak times,so I tend to avoid. Swimming pool is great. Changing rooms usually clean, but again can be very busy at peak times. It’s a same there are not many individual changing rooms for those that wish to have more privacy. This and the cost of membership is why I’ve given it 4 and not 5 stars. I don’t feel the facilities warrant the amount of membership that is charged. More...

Staff aren't always very professional or approachable, especially on the gym floor where an arrogant attitude is intolerably pervasive. I may look like a youthful student but actually I'm a fully paid up community member so do not appreciate being patronised or dismissed. Costa is a great addition to the facility, but very rarely open as advertised! For example advertised closure at 9pm but staff are reluctant to serve you at 8pm if its even still open?!? As my partner often trains late I find this very frustrating!!! Several of the barristas are fantastic but a small minority are just plain rude.

Great sauna, steam but pitiful cold showers and the pool closes indiscriminately for events without clear prior notice for members.

Good place but sadly some staff are not friendly and adults with young kids from 0 to 14 years must be supervised buy adult. I can understand year one to year 11 but above this age still with adults doesn't make sense as I have 13 years old child and confidence strong swimmer And I can't leave my child alone in 1.2m part and go to Suna knowing my child is 1.5 m and confidence swimmer. Newly built and offers a huge range of facilities aimed at leisure and health. The gym does get pretty crowded at times, so I would recommend going off peak times for the best gym experience.

A new sports centre opened in 2017 is a great addition to the University and the Selly Oak area. Gym is equipped mostly with state of the art Techno Gym equipment. Also, there are numerous squatting platforms with Eleiko equipment. Swimming pool is great, either 25 or 50 meters, just check the timetable for details. I haven't used other services, so cannot comment. The only downside is that the centre can be crowded sometimes. More...

I loved this gym before it moved form the Munrow Centre to the site of the old Gun Barrels. It was great before and is, in many ways, better now, it's like the squeal to a successful film. Everything is bigger better, but it's not quite the original.
Lovely open exercise room, great showers and Costa coffee. My only gripe is the parking is restricted to 2 1/2 hours for free, all day every day and I could happily spend 4 hours or more there.
