Thomas and Spiers Architects is a small team of RIBA Chartered Architects and Designers that focus on residential design, sustainable building design, building conservation, and community based projects. We work on a range of projects from new-build houses to basements and refurbishments to mixed use commercial projects with a bespoke response to a client brief, drawing on our long standing experience in the construction world.

I couldn't recommend Thomas & Spiers highly enough. They are a relatively small team and you really get the sense that they care about creating a home that you will really love. Emily, our architect, was absolutely brilliant - she is so on it and has such a good eye with brilliant design advice every step of the way. She also did a great job negotiating our way through planning. Another thing that we really liked about T&S is that they have great relationships with the contractors they work with, which means the builders are vested in your project and you get great service from them - the builders Emily recommended were great! Absolutely brilliant process from start to finish. Emily and her colleagues were a pleasure to deal with, incredibly knowledgeable as they worked with us on the design before taking us through the whole planning process. Ours was a complicated job but they were there every step of the way, liaising with the builders and keeping them on track with regular site visits. And they were always on hand for any of the many inevitable difficulties that arise. They made our house incredible - efficient and practical use of space and light but with beautiful design touches to make it feel unique. Would thoroughly recommend! More...

Essentially, we love building, and felt that we had a lot to offer and share with our academic and practical experience
