Great atmosphere, cosy pub, food good, friendly staff - very busy (went at 2pm on a Sunday) so service slow and they ran out of some of the roasts

A very unexpected find on our way to Winchester. A very pleasant pub with a good menu, an interesting selection of ales and a very good sized car park.

A very popular Hall & Woodhouse pub with large car park and good Disabled access. Most attractive building with 'olde worlde' interior which is certainly spacious. An excellent range of beers and wines, and a comprehensive menu starting with Breakfast which is served until 11.30. Very friendly and helpful staff (especially Charlie who served my wife and I today). The only reason we have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because two different chicken dishes which we particularly liked were unavailable (no chicken ), but they hadn't been crossed of the blackboard "specials" list, which was disappointing. Overall we can recommend The Seven Stars without hesitation. More...

The inside is so lovely and cozy, came for a 3rd date dinner and was blown away by the Steak and Tanglefoot pie. Set in very serene surroundings - we enjoyed a peaceful walk around some nearby fields following dinner.

Good evening spent with old friends I grew up with, staff and service were great , I just wish they had a more varied menu, very fast food and chips with almost all, be good to see more gluten free , veggie dishes, curries and chicken dishes, but I guess this is done for simplicity but a gluten free Mousaka , Chicken curry without red, green or yellow peppers would be good. But over all very good staff were friendly and managed to get pretty much all meals out together so no one was left waiting , so thank you for an enjoyable eve all food was hot and no complaints, so 5 stars for this. Very friendly and polite service. Good food but waited ages for main to be served, not enough staff for customer demand.

We arrived at this pub, not having eaten there before. It was around 6pm on a Sunday , having driven back from a visit to Bletchley Park. So we asked for a table outside ( being a beautiful evening ) only to be told by the young Lady that "we are not serving outside today". So we opted for a seat in the restaurant. We got our drinks in and stared chatting. well we chatted for wuite som time , I was listening to the Cricket world Cup final so did not realise how long we had been waiting. I was relaying the score updates to the young man , Max , I believe. who is delightful chap very attententive and polite. He chased up our order and it duly arrived. It was not the best meal we have ever eaten but we devoured it as we were very hungry. I am not a fan of food that has been kept under a heat lamp and it was pretty dry by the time we got it. The 4 star review is for the beautiful pub and young Max who, as I said, was charming. Thanks to him for rescuing the meal and England for winning the world cup in dramatic fashion. More...
