Really cool vibe. Felt like a speakeasy. Small venue so don't expect to really sit down much. Can get really full.

Great Club, prestigious, don't come here if you are not willing to pay the usual private member club prices for drinks in Mayfair. .... £13+ per drink minimum. Helps to know someone on the inside, I for one go with DJs that whose reputation precedes them so not difficult, however, consider this before going. You might be waiting a while and still not get in. Dress appropriately. More...

A great place for a night out in central London. Good vibe, music and clientele - however, as with other clubs in the area it is pricey to enter, especially for larger groups that must buy tables.

The easiest club to get in to... Door staff are pretty pompous, it was a table or no entry policy, with bottles starting at £300, I'm sure the spiel you get from Naomi the door woman is totally scripted. .. it was quite comical standing outside listening to it all! More...

Possibly the best underground club in central London: a small and intimate basement, great soundsystem, good mixed crowd (not your typical Mayfair crowd at all) and very good music. Staff is lovely too it closes at 6am! The dream really More...

Bar and lounge upstairs. Live music venue downstairs. Both small, some would say intimate. Staff were polite. Drinks were expensive. Great to have a live music venue in the heart of London however unlike others such as the hundred club there is no sign of its historic musical past. Also the high venue hire fees would put it beyond the reach of most musicians hoping to use it for a gig, which is a pity. More...

I had the privilege of hosting my 40th birthday here at the weekend, and it was first class. The manager, Gabriel, went above and beyond in preparation for the event, and all of the staff from the barman, to the doorman and cloakroom attendant, could not have been more professional, friendly and attentive. I have had so many compliment from my guests on the venue, from its location to its decor and ambiance, and on the staff. It really was a first class evening, and I couldn't have been happier. The Scotch is a great pub / music venue. The tiny stage and area in the basement has held many gigs such as Jimi Hendrix's, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and recently Right Said Fred who was doing a special VIP event playing some of their latest songs from their upcoming album Exactly. The bar area on the first floor feels a bit like a lodge in a way.   The pub/venue is hard to find as it is hidden down Mason's Yard. Once you get to the right street, just keep walking until you find the brown door.  I went along to a VIP gig that I was invited to as I am a super fan of Right Said Freds if you can enter this pub/venue normally without a invite I dont know....... I was deciding on whether or not to add this place as it is so awesome I want to keep it a little secret of my own, but I am all about freedom of unbiased information, so, you're welcome. This sneakily hidden bar/club/cool kids club is hidden  just behind the equally unemphatic White Cube gallery in St James and recently reopened after a 20-year closure and is the new stage for discovering emerging bands (every Tuesday night). In the 60s it was frequented by the era's iconic musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and the Stones, where they cold drink, dance and party into the night and undercover. The sign behind the DJ booth advertise that 'This DJ sucks', alluding to the opposite. The décor is of the plush-dark-velvet sofas and dim deco lighting which leads to endless dancing on furniture until 5am. As Paris Hilton would say it's Hott, but I doubt she'd make it past the door man. More...
