The Pound Inn is a very relaxed stay in a local pub. Staff and customers are very friendly too. One point to keep in mind - the stairs to the rooms are quite steep so maybe not the place if this is an issue. Good food available till 9 p. m. and cooked breakfast was good. More...

Great little country pub ! For a nice bit of peace and relaxing. Food and service excellent. Don’t expect 5* rooms as basic but cosy . Beds in particular are very good ! Very friendly place even the locals made us welcome. Their food was lovely, fresh and hot. The rooms were clean and a good size. The helpfulness of staff. The Restaurant finish serving Dinner at 9 pm but due to nature of my work I couldn't get back before 9 pm BUT the staff let me pre -order and served my meal cooked freshly after 10 pm. +The evening meal was fantastic. I had the pea and ham soup and the beef curry...both were truly exceptional. The Inn had a nice feel to it, very relaxing stay would go again (even with my 'didn't like' comments). -The room was a little cramped with the double bed.
