I have been going to Nomad for a few weeks now. Never a dull moment! The small group classes are tough, but fun, interactive and engaging. They change the routine all the time, so it never gets boring. The instructors are knowledgeable and inspiring. Classmates are friendly and overall the atmosphere makes you look forward to going back every day! I have been going to gyms and fitness classes all my adult life and Nomad is the best so far! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get the best results in the least amount of time! More...

This is a really special place to work out and learn how to challenge your mind & body. Hunter is the most positive, encouraging leader and makes group classes so much fun. You get best of both worlds by working out with awesome people at all different fitness levels while the trainer gives everyone equal attention and makes you feel like you're working with a personal trainer. Every week I do something I never imagined I could do, whether it's balance, lifting, using a new machine, learning new workouts, it's an incredible place to reach your goals. More...

A great place to get fit! The gym is clean and well-equipped. Hunter and the rest of the trainers all have the right attitude to motivate you. You know that they really care about you and want you to achieve your fitness goals. Nomad offers a mix of traditional and not-so-traditional workouts so that you will always be challenged and engaged. Hands down this is the best gym experience I have had. More...

Nomad really helped me overcome my insecurities about working out in a group setting. There's never any judgement from anyone here, instructors and students alike. Hunter, Jeff, and the rest of the team have really positive attitudes that push you to better yourself every class. And the only reason I bothered going for so long was because the classes are straight up FUN. Working out sucks ass, that's just how it is, but Nomad makes it thirty times better. More...

Once upon a time, I myself was a personal trainer. I've been a practitioner of combat sports and martial arts for over 25 years. The point is, I don't impress easy in the gym. And yet for months I watched guys and gals I did jiu jitsu with workout at Nomad and come back to the mats stronger, leaner, buffer. So when a job came my way with very specific goals: get bigger and get shredded, I decided to pay Hunter a visit. I've never looked back. Aside from the fact that he's a walking endorsement for his gym (read: BEAST), he brings a level of intelligence, ingenuity, and an encyclopedic knowledge the likes of which I've never encountered before. One on one or small group training, The Nomad will encourage you, surprise you, and show you a damn good time along the way. Regardless of your level, you will work smarter, not harder, and you will get results. More...

I have been coming here three times a week for almost four years now and I have never once woken up and felt like I didn't want to go to my early morning training sessions. Not once. And I'm far from a fitness fanatic. Training with Hunter for two years, he makes it fun to come in and work your ass off. He's been right by my side, making me stronger and healthier and working with me to achieve my goals. He (and the rest of the Nomad team) is a total pro who knows how to push my limits and do it in a safe way to avoid injuries. He's been my trainer, my teacher, my friend and even my psychiatrist when I need it.I know going to a new gym or starting down the path of getting fit can be super intimidating. I've been there - I was over 50lbs heavier than I currently am. Nomad is a place that just feels welcoming no matter what your experience level is. The trainers are beyond friendly and supportive, the other members in the group sessions have each others' backs. If you have a goal to lose weight, gain muscle, get stronger - all of the above - or just find a fun and supportive place to work out you owe it to yourself to give this place a shot. More...

I hated working out until Nomad! I never knew how to workout with the correct form, or in a way that helps me reach my goals but thats all different now that I workout here. Everyone here is family and very friendly to newcomers. I also felt a lot of the time too sluggish and self-conscious to go to the gym but this really is such a positive place that that thought has NEVER crossed my mind since working out. It's not just the exercise and the people that I love here, it's the positivity and understanding. This is NOT a gym where the trainers yell at you to 'push it harder.' The trainers encourage you get rid of the "I can't" mentality while also knowing your limitations. With me, I have a shoulder injury so I know to stop when it hurts, but I also know I'm stronger than what I thought. The trainers also make the workouts a ton of fun! Sometimes there will be workout games or obstacle courses. That always makes it a little bit easier for me because you don't realize you're actually working out. Seriously, this gym has changed my life. Not just physically but also mentally. I'm a stronger person in every way. It's so strange to say that about a gym, but...this place is no ordinary gym! Nomad's classes are taught by only a few trainers who also train professional athletes, movie stars, and UFC fighters, a far cry from the cold and apathetic corporate gyms, where the personal trainers there look like they could use personal trainers, repeating basics that can be found with a Youtube search. You get to work with the same faces, so not having a gym buddy to align with your schedule is perfectly fine. Their programs are custom built, and no day is the same (or even close really) to one before. It doesn't get boring, and your muscle memory will always be shocked into doing something new (and growing from it).The reason I signed up here is because my gainz have slowed for a pretty long time and all I wanted was results. Working with the team here, I've been able to identify where form can be improved, and also taken on another perspective towards growth. Some days you don't use a weight over 20 lbs, but are sweating more than days when you're lifting twice your body weight, and sore in places you didn't know could be sore. Most importantly, I can feel results.Whether you are new or experienced, there's something to learn here. The programs are custom tailored to the momentum of the class, and since they're small, you get the benefits of a one-on-one class with the fun of a bigger one. Everyone comes in with an extremely positive attitude, and the teachers make you feel like you're training for life instead of dreadfully fulfilling a New Year's resolution. Coming here, your arsenal will be professionals that understand the necessary diet and exercises you need to meet your goals, who are able to prove it by lifting 600 lbs instead of a piece of paper framed on the wall (although they have that too).If you're looking for a change, you need to give The Nomad Gym a try. WOW. I'm a member for life!! My difficulty is getting and staying motivated but working out at Nomad, I'm actually excited to go to the gym. You get a free class to try it out, and after that first free class, I immediately signed up. At the first class, I was welcomed by EVERYONE with open arms and words of encouragement. It's really a non-intimidating, supportive, Gym family. The workout classes are like a gym and health class all rolled into one! The trainers explain why you're doing the workout, how to do it, the benefits, etc. They encourage you to challenge yourself but don't push you past your limits. There are SO many amazing things about Nomad but you really need to try it for yourself. First class is free so I HIGHLY encourage you to check it out!! More...

I searched for almost a year for a strength and conditioning program in LA that's actually functional. Working with knowledgeable trainers and having a community are very important to me and Ready Performance is exactly what I was looking for! The classes are small which allows for more individualized attention especially when working with existing injuries. The trainers have all taken the time to make sure that my technique is on point to avoid injury and prevent from exacerbating any existing injuries. This is the first program to get me in the gym 3 times a week. I've been a part of programs that start to feel stale after a couple of weeks, both in terms of the routines and the atmosphere of the gym. Here Taylor and Hunter create workouts that contain dynamic exercises to keep it fresh and challenging. There's a good balance between strength, endurance, and cardio in a given class's movements. The whole R.P. crew has a great attitude and energy, and it's infectious because the groups are full of determined, positive people too; it's an extremely supportive atmosphere where everybody cheers each other through the tough parts. Taylor, Hunter, and Jake are all the kind of trainers that possess more than fitness knowledge: they're good-humored, personable, and supportive. I always feel like they're on my team for me to get faster and stronger. I can't see any other place being my fitness home. More...
