Dr. A is truly amazing.I came in with extreme pain not to mention I found him on Yelp called at the last min, and just like that Dr. A called me back and told me to come in.I had very bad sciatica, been suffering for awhile. Let's just say that presentation is everything the office was so inviting very elegant smelled amazing and nice relaxing zen full music.Dr.A was very professional as he explained everything as he did it which for me being a first time getting acupuncture made it much more comfortable, he also preformed cupping on my back, all truly an amazing experience.Afterwards no more pain in my sciatica, and I felt very relaxed I will be coming to see Dr.A again as much as my PPO allows. Dr. David Amato is a great acupuncturist... For the first time I gave a try because I was suffering from a really bad pain on right side of my head , my right shoulder and it went down my wrist ( from exercise and bad sleep position ) With just one session I felt great and the next day Even better!!! Doc David is AMAZING!Very professional and knowledgeable.  Visited he's clinic several times for different issues. Knees, back, neck. And yes... Even my Butt after I had a snowboarding accident.   The treatment is very relaxing and spiritual. It's amazing how the pain decrease automatically after the treatment and couple days after it's all gone.   Didnt realize how Acupuncture sessions can help with all different kind of issues and NO medicine or Chemicals involved at any time. I went to see Dr. David for acupuncture/cupping for the first time. Prior to the visit I had such an extreme low expectation of the practice and honestly thought it'd be a waste of time. Dr. David was professional, extremely friendly, and very patient. He explained every single steps he took. He would tell you as he performed acupuncture what sensation to expect. I had my very first acupuncture appointment last week (ever!) with David and he was wonderful. He explained the entire process before we started, took the time to chat with me all about my various health issues and concerns, he told me about how the acupuncture process would support healing for my specific issues, and he continued telling me about what each needle placement was for. There were relaxing smells, calming music, a super comfortable table, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Incredible. I've done acupuncture and cupping before, but Dr. Amato is unlike any other. He was so receptive and focused on understanding my issues and helping to alleviate them. David is UH-MAZING! He took the time to hear my concerns, assess my needs, and then explain all the details of my individualized treatment. I had old injuries that I thought had healed but he was able to identify misalignments and attend to them on the spot! As an anxious first-timer, I was quickly put at ease with his calm and confident demeanor. You don't know how much more optimally you could be feeling until you have a treatment with Dr. David. I met David today and I really enjoyed my visit for many reasons that I will share.  I will also follow-up to provide an updated review, with any effects (negative or positive), that I get from my treatments over time. For now, I will say that for my first visit, I thought David was really knowledgeable on what was blocked in my body and offered his suggestions on what could help improve them.  I loved the infrared lights and warmth of the bed, b/c I generally have really cold hands and feet LOL.  Lastly, I loved his massage.  I wasn't expecting that and it really felt amazing, very helpful.  Now, I am not a fan of needles and will be truthful to say that many did not hurt at all, but some really, really hurt upon insertion.  I know it is not his fault though, but my bodies' sensitivities to them.  Hoping in time my body will just get used to it.  I am also incredibly grateful that my insurance is accepted, as I likely would not be going otherwise due to finances.  I am hopeful to see some results over the coming few weeks, as I obtain more appointments. Acupuncture to me seems different for everyone with varying results.  I am hoping that with his knowledge and skillsets from his studies in China, he'll be able to weed through the layers of all the BS in my body and hit directly where it needs to get things in order.  I am recovering from one hell of a messy situation and am so grateful to be on the upswing.  I have high hopes and will certainly report back.  David was really nice as well.  I encourage you to check him out! Dr David Amato is truly an angel sent from heaven he has healing hands and has taken me out of severe pain in my worst times. He knows all the points in the body and how everything is connected so hes able to work his magic very effectively. I have had scoliosis surgery and have been doing pain management for quite sometime but it had never been so that I walked out without pain anywhere until I past thru this acupuncturists hands there is some devine healing energy within him as he truly cares about his patients and genuinely wants to heal you so I think he does some reiki  without even knowing it. I always walk out so refreshed and content within because he takes me out of my misery that I experience from my muscular problems. Im very grateful I met him and will continue to see him on a regular basis. I have been going to him for 6 months now and havent felt better in the longest time. I was going weekly for the first 5 months, now I go biweekly to maintain the great results. Dr. David Amato is the only Acupuncturist you'll ever need to see. He helped me get back onto the basketball courts after a severely pulled hamstring about a year ago. After a year of rehab + treatments I feel better then I've ever been.  He also helps me keep my energy/chi flow "in check" so without fail I look forward to my visits every three weeks. So I have been experiencing pain in my right shoulder for roughly 2 years now so I decided to start getting massages on a regular basis to try and ease the pain a little. The guy I normally went to recently moved and is now unable to see me...... let me just start off by saying that I'm glad he is gone because now I have Dr. Amato! Whenever I had to find a new massage therapist in the past it was always uncomfortable for the first session. Not with Dr. Amato..... from the second I walked in the door and he greeted me I felt at home. Before my visit I had warned him that I bruise very easily and he assured me that he would be very gentle with me and he was. He is absolutely amazing at what he does! There is no other way to describe it. It's really hard to find someone that truly loves what they do and values their customers/patients. High quality acupuncture service - checkPositive bedside manner-checkInformative - checkI've had acupuncture before, mostly a quickie half hour job. Bing bang boom. Done. I came in today to experience a full session acupuncture session. I expected it to be about an hour long. It lasted about an hour and a half! It was super great that the process wasn't rushed and I really felt like he was giving me his time and attention. Dr. Amato was very informative, telling me exactly what I was going to experience so there would be no surprises. I'm not needle nervous but it is still comforting knowing exactly what was happening. They moved to this new location not long ago so they don't have their sign up yet and I've passed by a million times never knowing they were here. I had a Spabro package which is what brought me into this place. I honestly expected to only come here this one time but now I know I will definitely be back! Dr. Amato is kind, caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable in what he does. The second you meet him you feel at ease with his gentle demeanor. I've seen him twice regarding my neck/back issues and have felt like a million bucks each time I've left. I've been seeing Dr. Amato for over a year now. I just got the results of my blood test. Cholesterol was down 30 points, triglycerides down 11, HDL down by 7, and LDL down 21 points. I am a long following patient of Dr. Amato from his early years here in LA. I have always felt secure in his care, one day he actually unlocked my jaw! When I get on David's table all the world starts to make sense. David has a keen sense of what to ask and how to explain his approach and the methods used. I am a visualizing detail type so I love this part of the treatments. I am typically having a good laugh while engaging him during the needling which for me is a testament to a blissful state of well-being. I believe he brings the best out of this ancient Chinese practice and he's LA local, easy to access, and has been flexible for me for which I am quite grateful. A few years ago, when I was looking for a second Acupuncture Doctor, I happened to find Dr. Amato's office, by proximity.  I was a physical and emotional wreck, and from the first moment I stepped into Dr . Amato's office, I instantly felt at ease.  I had previously been to a different Acupuncture doctor, and although I was convinced of the benefits, i didn't feel very emotionally connected to my therapy.  Dr. Amato's tone and personality created a comforting atmosphere, while his extensive knowledge, education and innate sense of why my body wasn't in its prime condition, allowed me to trust his treatment.  I have not yet come across another Doctor of Acupuncture who performs each session with such dedication, and such nurturing  bedside manner.  Dr. Amato has helped me with tension, headaches, vocal health (and this was a big deal), and depression.  I drive from the valley to see him in his office in Beverly Hills, and I will do so no matter where he moves to :)   if you've never had acupuncture, don't waste your time going through a few different doctors like I did.  GO STRAIGHT TO THE BEST!
