Had my daughters 21st here last night..........everything was perfect, beautiful and absolutely faultless, did not want the night to end. A massive thank you to Skye,Paula and all of the staff involved who were very friendly and helpful from the very start when we booked the kings room. They worked very hard on the night to make sure everything went well with the food and drink. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a special celebration to arrange. We held our daughter batmitzvah here last night and I have to stay the staff and the venue are absolutely first class. I had my son's Bar Mitzvah there on Sunday and it was the most amazing night. From the first meeting through to the last meeting they were all incredibly accommodating and nothing was ever trouble. They were there on he night to see that everything ran smoothly from talking to the DJ, dancers and entertainers but leaving us to enjoy the night. We used both rooms which was brilliant for the kids to hang out in and the venue looked stunning. We had our wedding here on 13th August 2017.

With less than 2 months to plan our wedding for 70 guests Paula and her team at the Kings Oak Hotel could not of done any better. The planning experience was seamless and our meetings with Paula's excellent event management skills made the whole process stress free.
The staff on the day could not do more, they were attentive and helpful and provided a perfect service. The ceremony in the beach club marque was romantic and all the guest commented how the venue made them feel like they were in a different world. The décor in the Kings Room was simply magical and made all our guest gasp upon entering.
The DJ provided by the venue played a great selection of music keeping the party going.
The food provided by the catering staff was excellent. Great quality canapés were served at the reception drinks. The 3-course wedding dinner was amazing and of very high quality our guest commented that the meal was one of the best wedding dinners they have ever had. For our wedding menu we had Starter Choices - Prawn and Crayfish Salad or Tricolore Salad, Mains - Roast Lamb with Trimmings or Jerk Chicken with Rice, Plantain and Coleslaw. Dessert - Chocolate Torte or Mango Sorbet.) The meal choices were perfectly served by well organised the team. The late night snacks were also of high standard. All of the food was amazing, ourselves and our guests will be returning.

Thank you so much to Paula and all the team at the Kings Oak Hotel for making our day so perfect we couldn't of had a better wedding.

We had our daughters 18th birthday party on Saturday 14th in the gastro pub and it was fantastic. It was the perfect venue and everything ran smoothly thanks to the great staff. Special mention to the bar staff Scott and Sam who were brilliant.

The DJ and the photo booth made the night.

Everything was taken care off by the staff and ran perfectly. I would recommend a party here to anyone.

This place is absolutely fantastic and is the most amazing wedding venue . I'm so delighted to have chosen the Kings Oak for my special day 03-09-17 (yesterday). Skye and Paula (wedding organisers) were so helpful and lovely as soon as I met them. Nothing was too much trouble at all. I had a Jewish wedding ceremony and party , so very different from a normal civil wedding. Paula was happy to adapt the wedding formalities and add little bits of insight for the day. The grounds are beautiful and will make fantastic pictures and the Kings Room and beach club marquee were so glamorous . If you love sparkle this is the venue to choose. We had many guests mention how delicious the food was from the canapés to starters, main course (perfectly cooked salmon) and white chocolate creme brûlée (restaurant quality let along mass cooking at an event). The venue even made us a special plate of canapés so we could take pictures doing the reception. Nothing was too much trouble and I had the best wedding day that I could ever have. The Kings Oak is set in the Beautiful Epping Forest, the new decor is bright and modern but classic. Then there’s the food, every dish is really good, the Chicken with cream and brandy sauce is not something I would normally chose but as it was a Valentines meal it was a set menu and so glad I chose the Chicken because it was lovely! ! It’s the day after our Year 11 Graduation Ball and I’m still on cloud 9 after such an incredible evening. The venue was perfect, the DJ’s selection spot on, the food was great and the staff were beyond incredible. Thank you all and especially Jill for an event that will stick with me forever.

I have just spent one of the most relaxing and much needed afternoons in a long time in a gorgeous setting.... Gemma and the rest of the team were an absolute pleasure to deal with and made my visit that much nicer. I had lunch too and that was lovely and a very generous portion and a very good long island cocktail. I can and do highly recommend, I don't know of anywhere else nearby that is similar. I also feel it would be a wonderful venue for a wedding or special occasion such a pity I did not know about this place sooner or I definitely would have considered having my wedding here. The King's Oak Hotel is a periodic pitstop on Epping Forest walks from High Beach. It's an imposing place, that stands out in a forest clearing. When we went there was a real fire and people out for a stroll on Boxing Day. On the minus side it can be very busy. In the Summer this isn't to difficult. There's a large beer garden around the back. We've always found the hotel good for hearty pub food. Whilst High Beach is an attractive location, in the heart of the forest, it can often be extremely busy. We tend to keep our visits short and walk into the forest, where it's quieter.
