Staff are so friendly, hotel is spotless, food is gorgeous. The only downside is our room is next to the stairs and quite noisy on times. Will definitely return to this hotel if our son performs here again. Love Llandudno first visit and definitely not the last. X More...

This is clearly a hotel of great character and history. It preserves the feeling of the Edwardian era, the style and luxury. The sea view rooms are very large and comfortable, the restaurant is excellent. Parking can be a problem at times, but the proximity to the sea front and town shops is a definite bonus. More...

Requested front facing room and we were allocated fifth floor room, small balcony, with bistro set . Views were amazing but room was in the small size with two bucket chairs and a table squashed in. No need for table and chairs at the bottom of the bed, in my opinion as there is a desk n chair. Lovely staff, nice food, lively atmosphere. More...

I last reviewed this hotel in 2016 giving it 5 stars and nothing has altered to change that view. The room was excellent, the staff were great and the food in the restaurant is as far from the awful vision of what 'seaside hotel dinners' can be as it is possible to imagine - beautifully presented by professional staff (a real rarity in Wales! ) and delicious. The wine list is good with some very reasonably priced offerings. Our room rate included breakfast with multiple choices and homemade marmalade. More...

For my wife's birthday,I booked us into the Imperial. I checked at just after 12 o'clock my welcome form reception warm and very friendly. Although our room was not yet ready (not a problem) I asked if I could leave my car in the Car Park. Of course was the reply. We both attended a work function and then returned to the Imperial. Obtained the key to the room. It was beautiful. Sparkling clean and huge with a bathroom to match and views of the prom and the sea. The tiniest fault the bath robes were marked XXL but had been in the tumble dryer and would barely fir action man). We had drinks in the bar with friends, followed by a snack meal on the terrace. Food was good as was the service. One thing we both noticed was all the uniforms fitted the staff unlike many places they look cheap, their uniforms were smart and looked the business. The hotel is is excellent throughout, decor lovely, to be very fair an extra star would not go far wrong. In a word superb. More...

The party Disco was very good and so was the complementary photo booth. We had a wonderful time. My room was very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again. More...

Very nice & Clean hotel, friendly staff, great rooms, good pool & gym, the party we had in the party room was great the only gripe I have is the dj we had was rubbish & almost spoilt the party with his choices of music & the hotel is let down a little with the limited amount of parking spaces, but I would still give it 9. 5 out of 10.

We stayed with friends, on arrival was greeted and assisted with luggage, rooms were immaculate, very roomy and comfortable, plenty of refreshments available in the room, clean dressing gowns and slippers, bathroom was very big with shower and bath, the hotel has plenty of lifts, the cocktail bar was excellent to relax in we had sandwiches for lunch when we arrived the were very tasty and you got plenty, we ate in the restaurant which was 1st class service, our waitress Sarah was an absolute diamond and a credit to the hotel she made us feel so relaxed and welcomed, we will definitely be returning, at breakfast you had everything you could want and the service was second to none, it feels more like a 5* hotel than a 4, thank you to all staff for letting us relax and enjoy your wonderful hotel

From the moment we booked in to the moment we booked out the staff were fantastic. The hotel was immaculate, warm and welcoming. We were staying with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversaries and they enjoyed their visit too.The bar staff were great keeping us going with sandwiches and drinks. The prices are a little steep but the Irish coffees helped soften the blow!Sarah in the restaurant couldnt do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble and that was typical of every member of staff.Street parking permits would have made things easier (and cheaper) as we couldnt get a space on the small first come first served car park and so had to park on the road.We would recommend the hotel and are already talking about a return visit next year! Have been visiting Llandudno for 30+ years and have stayed in many hotels but The Imperial (an old favourite) is simply the best. Over the years there has been the inevitable ebb and flow of quality and service. Currently these are on the up. The staff are cheerful and helpful, the decor is being improved and the rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. They also serve the best breakfast to be had anywhere. Couldn't ask for more. Have visited a number of times on way home for a lunchtime sandwich. Last time was in October|Lovely to look out over the sea, a favourite for my wife and we've been lucky enough always to get a window seat as it is often very busy. |These sandwiches come with coleslaw, crisps, and a decent sized salad garnish and are always very tasty, the last time I had the local welsh beef and watercress with horseradish mayo. My wife had the chicken with rocket, chilli and spring onion mayo and my son the ham with Nant Conwy mustard and tomato. All very tasty and satisfying, £6.95 each.|The Americano coffee is excellent and comes with a proper sized piece of shortbread!|The staff are always very polite and efficient.|The hotel itself is on the seafront overlooking the North Bay and only 8 minutes walking time from the pier.| More...

A quick overnighter to see a concert . Very pleasant victorian hotel . Rooms were pleasant with sea views .the sound of the waves crashing in was nice to relax too at night. Was on the 4th floor . Service was good and would stay there again .one consideration if u had children and were not on the ground level .the beautiful staircase does have a low guard rail .prob fine in the early 1900s but probably not so in this day and age so wouldnt want to lean over .apart from that .great spot .parking right outside the hotel on the sea front 2.50 overnight cheap !! I've eaten at the Chantrey's restaurant on a number of occasions and it's fantastic. They have an extensive wine selection. The wine list is overly complicated and it should be simplified to make it easier to read and understand. The staff are friendly and professional with good knowledge. The views from the terrace are exceptional and it is first come first serve seating. More...

We stay at the Imperial at least once a year. The rooms have always been spacious, clean and comfortable. Even the bathrooms are of a good size. The restaurant is always welcoming although the menu doesn't seem to have changed in years! The mini fish and chips are a must! For the first time that I can recall we've had to complain. One of our sea bass had to be returned as it was so overcooked and dry. It was so obvious it never should have been put on the plate. Perhaps that's why it came skin up! Late in the evening our room's heating system became very noisy and a member of staff, responding immediately, stopped the noise. It reoccured in the night but fortunately, knowing the remedy, I was able to stop the banging. An air lock apparently. This did not prevent us enjoying our stay and we will most definitely be visiting again. More...

I have stayed here with my wife over many years.||It is an ideal place to stay for peace and tranquility. A place to relax in comfort. and enjoy the tranquility.||This last visit was on the 30th of September 2019 and i booked for 4 nights. Since my wife was convalescing after an operation I splashed out on a sea view premium room which was comfortable and gave a nice view of the promenade. The room was large enough but seemed a bit bare while the sofa and chairs were not very comfortable and in need of replacing. The food as always was excellent and the prices of drinks not too steep (beer was £4.20 a pint). The staff were very considerate and nothing was too much trouble. For example my request for a non slip mat for the bath/ shower was attended to promptly. I agree with other reviews that the rooms were too hot and in the absence of air conditioning I was able to open the windows (beware of seagulls who come to tap on the windows). My only issue as always is the dreadful car park. ||On the first day tents started to be erected on the promenade which largely obscured the view. On the second day large lorries and rally cars started to arrive. We were told that this was the Welsh International car rally. The following two morning we were awakened at 6 am to the noise of cars revving up loudly and the stink of petrol pollution (the windows were open).||However we sort of put up with this but did mention to the duty manager on leaving and suggested to him that the rally should have been mentioned when I booked. However he said that I should have known it was on. He said he could have moved us to a room somewhere in the back if we had asked. Considering I had already paid just under a thousand pounds for the pleasure of a sea room for 4 nights this seemed a bit unjust.||However it will not stop us from staying at the Imperial again but next time I will check if there is a rally right under the window. We had not stayed in this hotel for many years and we were very pleased that it is still an excellent hotel. The hotel has an enviable sea front location with the main shopping street behind. The bedroom was very quiet and comfortable with a nice view. The public rooms are spacious and comfortable. The terrace cafe is a delightful spot with terrific views. The breakfast in the beautiful, spacious and peaceful dining room was great quality with plenty of alternatives to the full Welsh breakfast served by friendly and eager to please staff. The early check in was a bonus and much appreciated. The leisure club is very good with a good sized pool but hotel guests do not have access to the changing facilities and need to use the slippers and robes which is not really ideal. The children loved the pool. The hotel is very child friendly even providing a children's high tea...brilliant! Great value for families.Good car park. Highly Recommended. More...

We live in Germany some 500km from the sea and wanted a break by the seaside in a town we knew with many things of interest within short travelling distance. We also wanted an Hotel with a pool, good food, a short walk to the sea and a car park. The Imperial ticked all these boxes and was within our cost expectations. An Hotel we would recommend, unless one wants super luxury and price is immaterial. Access by road or rail is easy and for our later onward journey to Manchester was ideal. More...
