Good consultation doctors and although there was a general issue with waiting time , still a good set of doctors and not too overpriced when comparing with other centres

I've only been once but so far I'm impressed. The building is easy to get on being near the Regent Street tube station and is in a safe area. When I entered, there was someone at the reception area who directed me to the correct door to take the lift to the floor where my doctor was. When I got to that floor I had to ask the gentleman who was cleaning where the office was for my doctor and he knew right away. Normally there is a receptionist there but I went late at night (which isn't the norm) and I appreciated that the doctor stayed late to accommodate me. Everything was neat and tidy, there was a water fountain with cups in the waiting area as well as a large unisex mobility bathroom that was immaculately clean and well stocked. The chairs in the waiting area were very cushy and comfortable. The doctor I saw was very nice, down-to-earth, educated on the latest techniques and explained everything very well and even showed me diagrams which was helpful. He went over the various health issues I could have based on my symptoms and discussed different tests for each issue. The consultant knew about conditions I had never heard of and I thought I knew a lot about that subject; I was impressed. Each consultant has a private admin who will be the patient's point of contact for scheduling. The admin for the Dr I saw was very efficient and her communication via email was excellent. She also followed up the day after my appointment to schedule one of the tests and sent all of the important information for prep. Sure going private is expensive but I can say that so far I feel as if it is worth it -- especially since I'm still waiting for one test result from the NHS. When you go private you won't have to wait when you're suffering which is a big benefit. More...

Q&As

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Quote Carl R. Rogers

There are times when the understanding of a good friend may be just what you need. However, when the degree of emotional pain and the severity of symptoms suggest a problem of a greater depth, then your pain, anger or confusion may be too painful for a friend to listen to without judgement.
