We are The Carrie Agency. We're a group of talented people that come together to work on projects that mean something to us.

We can help with: blogging strategy, content design, content strategy, editorial strategy, tonal values and tone of voice, writing and editing.

Our founder Carrie started blogging before it was cool. She ran three successful blogs and an editorial agency specialising in blogging strategy. Then she was headhunted to work with central government to build their blogging capabilities. We are experts in developing an authentic tone of voice and strategies to help you connect with your audience in a meaningful way. Your blog should be a place to engage with the people you care about and really let your personality shine - we can help you achieve this.

Content design is a reasonably new discipline. It's an approach to content that puts user needs at the centre. Content design can help you explain complex issues in simple terms - but this isn't about dumbing down, it's about opening up. We can help you to develop your content to reach users in a meaningful way.

Our founder Carrie has been working with words for about 15 years. She's developed strategies for all sorts of people, from Parliament to PR companies. The Carrie Agency can help you develop a clear, simple content strategy for your business. We're plain English advocates, and we believe that an open and transparent approach is the best way to engage with your audience. We can help you explore who your audiences are, what they want from you, and how best to talk to them. We'll help you develop an authentic tone of voice, and show you how to build your values into your content.

When we talk about tonal values, we're describing the blend of tone of voice, inherent organisational values, and individual accountability. We can help you explore what it is that makes your organisation unique, and how you can use your uniqueness to engage with your audience.

We're experts in writing and editing. We'll happily shoulder the responsibility so you can focus on growing your business. We can write things like blog posts, think pieces, features, interviews, articles and web copy. We can edit what you already have, or create bespoke words from scratch. We'll work closely with you and your team to understand your audiences and make sure your words reflect your values and ethos. Want to find out more? Let's chat!

The Carrie Agency Q&A

What do you love most about your job?

Working with wonderful people who genuinely care about the work they do and want to find the best ways to share it with the world.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to work with nice people and have the freedom to choose who we work with and what projects we work on. We enjoy the ability to work 'free range' and have an incredible work-life blend that helps us work harder and be more focused.

Why should our clients choose you?

We are nice people, doing work we can be proud of. We don't over-charge, we're flexible, we're kind, and we're experts in what we do. We work in an environment of mutual respect and we're always looking for the human stories to help make genuine connections with users and audiences.
