The baby swim school

The Baby swim school with Nia is a fantastic class for Baby and a family member to enjoy. Its not only fun but beneficial to those babies giving them water confidence starting at a young age! We have attended weekly classes since Jenson was nine months old and he loves it I wish I’d started them earlier!! It is something we look forward to each week and has created a lovely trusting bond. The classes are so relaxing and easy going they go by what your baby is happy doing, if he/she is not feeling the underwater swim no worries they can stay above water and practise kicking legs and holding on � we have attended two courses of the classes so far and will soon be undertaking the third course! I wanted my son to gain important life saving water skills. Nia is a friendly, happy approachable lady who is absolutely fantastic with the kids and helps develops their skills at a pace both mother and baby are happy with. We love coming to class each week for the fun games we play in teaching the babies how to swim. One of my favourites is the underwater swim with my son but I could go one as my list is endless. Another thing I like is that if you miss a class it is not tough luck, Nia always makes sure you get a full term by inviting you to other classes to make up for missed ones. My sons favourite things are splashing and splashing, being in the water, wobbly jelly and swimming around chasing toys. I love the fact I can say to my now 10 months old are we going swimming today and he smiles and gets excited this is all thanks to Nia and her calm, relaxed fun learning way. My son began his swimming journey at 12 weeks and we loved our class but we went closer afield for his 2 term with a new instructor and different company safe to say I will never ever leave these classes again ! Nia is amazing with the children and the lessons are so much fun my son learnt so much here we can't wait to start back again best lessons around ! I am a lifeguard at llandudno swimming centre where Nia holds classes on Mondays and Fridays.
When my baby sister was born almost 6 years ago I knew I wanted to take part in the class with her as I watch children and adults on a daily basis come to the pool absolutely petrified of the water due to lack of experience and confidence and I didn’t want that for my sister.
So I contacted Nia and booked her in!
She absolutely loved coming every week and she gained so much water confidence in just a short space of time! She could get herself from under the water to the surface - a fantastic life saving skill everyone needs! We came up until she was almost 2!
My sister is now almost 6 years old and is flying through her swimming class stages due to the confidence nias classes have given her.

In February 2015 I fell pregnant with my daughter and I knew again I would be taking her to this class.... as soon as she turned 3 months old, I enrolled on the class! Yet again fantastic results, at just 2 years old my daughter can jump in the pool confidently, turn around and make her way back to the side of the pool. All these skills are what she has learnt at her lessons with Nia.

I can’t thank Nia enough for the confidence and skills she has given my daughter and my sister. I am confident when I take them both swimming as I know that they have vital skills needed in a swimming environment.

As a lifeguard, I see many people day in day out who have not had this start in life and during my 10 years in the job I unfortunately have had to carry out rescues during my career due to people just not having the confidence nor vital skills to be safe in a swimming environment.

This swimming programme that Nia provides from such a young age is so important and gives children a head start and safety skills in life. If I were to have any more children in the future, I would never hesitate to book them into her class. No words can describe how amazing these classes are and you can really tell the difference between those people who have had a head start in life like this and those who have had little water experience!

When my first born was 3 months i decided to attend the baby swimming sessions with Nia, he is now 2 years old and the confidence that both he and I have gained in the water is incredible !
I now take both my sons to the Sunday sessions , and we all thoroughly enjoy it !
Nia is so lovely and welcoming , the boys have so much fun with her �

Nia’s classes have been the perfect introduction to swimming for Katie. She now loves the water, particularly playing on the floats and she can hold onto the side of the pool without help! We have just started toddler lessons with Nia in Plas Menai on Sundays, having done a few terms with Gruff when he was a baby, but nothing since I finished maternity leave.

Although Gruff loves the water anyway, his confidence has absolutely soared since we started lessons again - he's getting better at going underwater, he's jumping in off the side, starting to climb out on his own, kicking on his back, and has so much fun with Nia every week that he doesn't want to leave the pool! It's a really supportive and flexible environment where the toddlers can go at their own pace and just build their confidence in the water.

The amazing thing is that Gruff has a speech/language delay, and going to Nia's lessons is actually improving his speech as he's enjoying himself so much More...

Nia is fantastic with my daughter, who absolutely screams when I try and separate her off me. Instead of just leaving me struggle to try and prise Hannah off me to do activities. She comes over and distracts Hannah either by talking too her or giving her a extra toy. She is so patience with a unwilling screaming baby. Love our lessons. More...

Nia’s classes are full of learning with an informal touch so that everyone has fun. We started classes so that our little one would quickly get used to being in the water and we would have the confidence to head into the pool with her. Our little one grows in confidence every week. I can not believe how amazing these classes are! After 10 sessions I have an absolute water baby on my hands, my baby boy absolutely loves swimming and being in the water! During the first few sessions my son was a little tired towards the end and not very involved in the class but within just a few weeks he was participating in splishing and splashing, confidently going under water, swimming on his front and back and chasing toys! We absolutely LOVE Nia's classes and I can not thank you enough for the water confidence you have given Geth. Having the classes biligually is also so important to us and we can not wait to start the next level of classes! Xx More...
