I went into this pub yesterday while passing through and from the moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed warmly with a smile and the pub itself was charmingly rustic accompanied with a pleasant atmosphere. For starters, i ordered the Whitebait and Tartar sauce which was delectably crunchy, the tartar sauce i was told was homemade and it showed.I continued the theme of seafood on my main as I ordered the seafood linguine with white wine butter sauce, it was lovely and creamy with a perfectly cooked texture, when I enquired about the dish, I was informed that it was all farm/sea to table and that none of it was frozen, I could certainly taste the difference from the food i make at home to the food I ate here! I don't know why anyone would compare this food to fast food at all (another table nearby was saying) I also ordered the chocolate brownie for dessert since i had a long trip ahead of me, It was delicious and filling, and found myself stuffed after I finished my meal.Simply put, wonderful food and service and I plan to return later in the month when i make another long trip.
