What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing our clients needs and being pre planned for the occasion. We do this through visiting the venue to check on the light, the position of the sun during the day, light during the service, bad weather alternatives. Checking out the landscapes in and around the venue for photo opportunities.
Establishing before the big day the bride and grooms characters and evolve a photoshoot that reflects them as individuals and as a couple.
Being inconspicuous when taking photos. We try not to be in the face of our couples and the wedding party and will revert to our long lenses to help us keep the distance.

What do you love most about your job?
Wedding photography is exciting, it evolves throughout the day. Within a very short time we try to be seen as guests, rather than photographers. We feel that way the wedding party are more relaxed around us.
We love the shoot and capturing the emotion of the day and personally i also love the processing of the images (and there are many hundreds of them) to bring out the very best of each and every one of them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In both Margaret and my own circumstances it is our mutual love of photography that motivated us to put our skills together to start Stradling Photography. We had both shot the occasional wedding solo and decided the time was right to be there to support each other on the days shoot. We have never looked back!

Our love of photography comes out in the images we capture. We don't just click away, but assess the best shots and capture the moments that happen in the blink of an eye. We create magical memories that are captured forever!
