Great party venue for our recent 40th Birthday celebrations. Ivan and the staff were great and the venue is a perfect spot in the centre of town with on site accommodation too. Highly recommended!

Myself an my boyfriend came here for a Birthday meal. The table was set up with baloons and banners, staff and waiter who served us delivered amazing service; they're so friendly and chilled. Thank you for helping us celebrate my husbands Birthday (27 again) as we, all 10 of us had and amazing night. The food was great and with 10 full tummies you can thank your chefs. Thank you to Adam, our waiter who was also brilliant. He was busy but had time for us, and a little banter (always welcome). My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We was welcomed and shown to our table in the conservatory. Staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and came out fresh and piping hot.The only criticism we could find would be the chairs were uncomfortable and too low, also no air conditioning. Highly recommended. Fantastic Night last night! I organised my wife's surprise birthday meal with Ivan and the team after a last minute cancellation with another restaurant. From the outset the team couldn't have been more helpful with sorting us out a table and after some movement in the numbers. The service on the night was spot on and the guys were all helpful and cheerful, with all the guests commenting on the quality of the restaurant staff. We had our Christmas day lunch here. I was concerned about our table being available at 2pm as we had a disastrous wait last year (not at the Storyteller) but the service couldn't have been better and our table was waiting for us on arrival. There were a few hiccups over receiving our soup and starter course in the wrong order and whether they served cider or not, but I get the feeling our waiter was a bit inexperienced. However he was polite, apologised profusely about the hiccups and had a good sense of humour. The food was delicious and plentiful. We weren't at all rushed add we all really enjoyed our meal. We had a party of 8 for a joint celebration for my and daugther's birthdays. Age range of the group was from 14 to 70. The menu was varied and catered to everyone's taste. I had the lamb confit to start, the elk burger for mains and 3 scoops of high quality ice cream with all 3 flavours out of the ordinary. All the dishes i had were excellent and the 70 year old had a fish and seafood dish that he said was the best he had had anywhere. The drinks list was varied which included an extensive cocktail range and a good wine list. It being a birthday celebration, the staff accommodated our request to present a birthday cake with candles lit that we had brought along. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Everything was reasonably price, particularly for the quality of food we experienced. Will definitely eat there again on our return to Cheltenham. More...

Excellent meal had here there is parking nearby an Ncp car park 2 mins walk. We were seated promptly given menus to look at and after a little our drinks order was taken. Drinks delivered and orders taken a little waiting then the starter arrived Nachos to share a good plateful. Shortly after mains arrived super choice 2 fish 1 chicken and 1 ribs well cooked and good portions.
