Visited for a wedding. The venue has had an uplift and the inside and outside look very pleasing on eye! The service was great. Only thing lacking was the main venue room, which I can only assume is next on the list to be modernised. More...

Had a lovely stay here overnight with a friend. Bed was comfy, pool was nice and pleasant temperature and the changing rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was tasty too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative I can say is that the bathroom could do with a little bit of modernisation; however it was clean and if like me you aren't that bothered by decor it's such a minor thing it shouldn't spoil your stay. A lovely place to eat, I had a flat iron steak, tender and full of flavour. Will definitely be visiting again.

Very nice place to take a short break to see the beauty even in the snow of North Wales.
Fantastic views across the river Dee to the Wirral and close to the City of Chester, Rhyl and other local towns.
Really enjoyed the stay the rooms were clean, spacious and the bed was huge, very friendly staff and a breakfast to start the day off correctly.
Had such a relaxing stay (2 nights) but much needed thank you all very much.

Lovely hotel, great food, excellent staff and a nice quiet location. Highly recommended, but DO NOT play poker with the receptionist, she is a very convincing wind up merchant!!!!! Brilliant

Really tidy and very well cared for hotel in a beautiful location. Don't worry about the proximity to the road. The gardens are surrounded by a gorgeous high hedge full of song birds. Out back sheep queue up for you to count as you have a lie-in in a very comfy bed.
Staff give you a warm welcome and the bar and social space is open and bright. We didn't get time to use the pool.. Something for next time as we're definitely coming back again!

Enormous double beds and decent rooms, bar and reception area in need of modernisation, very good value if you don't book direct with the hotel.

Nice gym and pool which is always warm. Sauna available just off the pool. Great food and friendly staff. Usually not too busy but can get very busy when there are events or weddings in the function room. Handy position just off the A55 for visitors to North Wales to stop off for the night or just a meal and a coffee before continuing their journey or contractors work locally. More...
