Stepping through those doors felt like I'd traversed a time portal 50 years into the past. Not to say that Sparks is dated, but rather presents itself unapologetically as a timeless representation of the classic steakhouse experience they've been serving to all comers since they opened in 1966. I've eaten many excellent steaks in my travels & the prime, wet-aged sirloin I had here was an excellent offering. The thing that sets Sparks apart from many restaurants offering prime steaks? The standard cut on their sirloin or fillet is at least 14oz!!! For the same cost as others would charge for a smaller cut. But they're not serving more of something inferior. Came with the boyfriend and his dad for dinner on a Thursday. Loved the interior, which felt like I was thrown a couple decades back. Service was impeccable. My glass was never empty and the food was nicely spaced out. In terms of food, I'm personally not a big steak person so I turned to the seafood section. I got the Chilean Sea Bass, which was fantastic. I've read reviews complaining it was overcooked and/or too salty. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and had a nice, slight crisp on the exterior. The boyfriend got Steak Fromage which I had to steal a bite of, of course. I have to agree with the other reviews that they need better dinner knives. I was struggling cutting through the meat. A truly great experience for our group of nine. The service and the food where both 5-star. My desert was impressive - peach sorbet served in a hollowed out, frozen peach in a dish of shaved ice. Talk about presentation! The tables are spread throughout a large open area that gets noisy with conversations - difficult to hear unless you speak up. Sparks hosted a business function I attended so I can't comment on the typical dining experience but our private party was fantastic. The steaks were huge and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The veggies were just right, and the servers were friendly. The steak house business is tough, hard to distinguish yourself with a similar menu to scores of other restaraunts but Sparks provided a great meal and is one of the better midtown restaurants I've been to. Top notch Movers. Carneys sent 3 trucks and 7 guys. They had our 4 bedroom house and our barn loaded and then unloaded at the new house is 6 hours. They charge by the hour and because we were well packed and organized it ended up costing 1/2 of what we were quoted. The guys that came were personable and very professional. Carneys was great. Again.This was my third move via Carney's; all three just as smooth as can be. They explain their policies up front and are consistent with them. The guys they send are always professional. They show up on time and work until the task is complete; no wasted time.You could probably shop all over town and find someone who can create a web site calling themselves "Movers" that has a cheaper hourly rate. Keep in mind that through the web, email or phone, it could just be an enterprising guy with a truck and knows where to hire day workers.You're about to turn over the very care of your life's positions! Ibrahmin and Manie were great !, quickly identified the issues and how they were going to solve them , they had the parts on board and got part of the electrical system up and running quickly so the tenants had light and heating whilst they tracked the issue with the sockets to resolve the problem

I called that day for a washer /dryer hook up. Anthony Marchand showed up on time and very polite. He went above and beyond. Took the moving bolts off of the dryer, the moving company should have done that. He even went and got an additional plug that was needed. I've never used this company before and I have to say they were remarkably good.I live abroad and have a rental property which has an issue concerning meter accuracy etc. An electrician was despatched and attended the property within 24 hours of my initial contact, and thereafter provided a prompt and informative assessment of the problem, which could be critical if I need to make a claim against the electricity providers.They aren't the cheapest around but I need people I can rely on, to do what they say they are going to do, quickly and professionally.I won't hesitate to use them again. Classic NYC steakhouse. Feels like you are stepping back in time when you set foot in here. Love the atmosphere. It is a massive place fyi. So many rooms and tables which is cool. It doesnt feel big though. As for the food the filet mignon is massive. It was Cooked to perfection. No frills here it is meat-centric. The sides were good but I would save all the room in your stomach for the meat. The service is typical of any steakhouse. So happy we came across this "Cheers" style bar last night. Actually we were from out of town and we're planning on going to a place nearby but it was closed. We decided to go into Blitz, were seated and within a few minutes the owner herself greeted us and handed us menus. The bar was full of what looked to be "regulars" but not many diners. Since I was craving Mexican food I told the owner we may not stay. She then asked "Did we do something wrong?" Her concern with my response was heartwarming so we decided to stay. I ordered 2 beef tacos and my friend ordered the steak sandwich. My tacos were really good. The shell was made with a Parmesan crusted tortilla which was remarkably tasty. The steak sandwich and salad (you had 3 side options) was also good. The drinks were very reasonable. There are two pool tables and you can play for FREE. There are also 5 electronic dart boards. If I ever have a move within the area or need an item moved, I will definitely hire Carney's again. Carney's movers helped me move everything swiftly and yet carefully. Nothing broke and the three guys, on the move day, handled everything like it was their own property. They sure know how to put my mind at ease. Being new to the area, I wanted to find a local place to have my Birthday dinner with the hubby. Decided we would Blitz and I'm beyond satisfied. We were quickly greeted by Sam who was friendly and made us feel right at home. He recommended the burgers and tacos so I tried the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger with a house salad. We also got the freshly made in house chips and salsa. Sooooo good. Hot fresh chips and the salsa was perfect. The burger came out quickly and was probably one of the best I've ever had. Bacon was cooked nice and crispy but not burnt, meat was so fresh and juicy and the blue cheese melt was wonderful. The rest of the large plate was filled with a nice fresh salad that balances the burger nicely. The atmosphere is a nice neighborhood bar feel with pool tables and digital dart boards. We just used Carneys for our in-town move and we couldn't be happier. Rob Carney came over to give us a quote and he couldn't have been a nicer, more trustworthy human. It was a pleasure meeting him.Then, the Carney moving A-team showed up and crushed our move. They were kind, friendly and super hard-working. Our new home was by no means an easy task. Set on a giant hill, steep driveway and no easy access to get furniture in this place. These gents had such a positive attitude and didn't even mind that our 6-month old puppy/nuisance wanted to be everywhere they were. In short, we're so thankful for going with Carneys. Had Carney's move me today and I was so pleased with the service. Not only were all three gentlemen polite, but they were quick and efficient. They really did a great job. They were careful with everything - wrapped all the furniture, but didn't mess around. It was very affordable. I will say I had everything boxed and ready to go. A side note - my king sized bed would not fit out the door and one of the guys disassembled the bed on site and then reassembled it on the other end with no issues, questions, or problems.So happy!!! I have been going to Sparks since 1983. It remains as terrific today as it was before the explosion of pretender steakhouses. Its only true rival is Luger, which delivers a different (but also great) experience. I try to get to Sparks as often as I can because the food and the service are unparalleled. The wine list, though not quite as much of a value as it once was, still eclipses all other steakhouses. More...

Well I found this place quite nice for a local bar/tavern. They have weekly specials that I found to be a great deal. I went in there on a Tuesday so as you would guess it's taco Tuesday. Love this place! The food and staff were amazing! I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly! The steak was large, I would guess about 16oz. My wife had the prime sirloin and she enjoyed it too. The mashed potatoes were excellent. They were very thin just the way I like. The service was amazing! Great staff and always checking on us.
