We offer marquees but did you know that a marquee can be used all year round and come with solid floors, air conditioning for the summer and heating for the winter.

Southern Events did an absolutely wonderful job in catering for our wedding in Whtested, Kent in July 2014. Tom Stovold and his team were superb in that they accommodated all our needs and requests with no fuss at all and were so obliging. The front of house team, including waiting staff, bar staff, and Anne the manager provided an excellent service throughout the day and evening and made that extra effort to get to know many of our guests by name which was a really nice personal touch. We had champagne and canapes, a delicious three course meal for 150 guests that really impressed our guests, and an evening barbeque with all delivered seamlessly. Southern Events are more than just food caterers as they provided all the wedding furniture for the marquee including tables, chairs, table linen, colour co-ordinated seat covers, and even a bouncing castle. We spent a month or more looking at different catering companies online before deciding and Tom's Southern Events is the best value company by far in the south-east region. Tom's easy going nature and long experience with outdoor catering for big events with large numbers of guests helped make us feel very comfortable and relaxed in the months leading up to our wedding and on the big day itself. When we first planned to stage this style of wedding, it seemed quite daunting as there were so many elements to arrange. Southern Events put us at ease immediately . They could supply everything, from marquee, to toilets, power, stage for band and even an outside bar. Throughout the whole build up they were so friendly and accommodating to additional requests...it really felt like they cared we had the day we wanted. And on the day they were superb. Everyone enjoyed the food and Tom, Hannah and the team helped make everything flow seamlessly. For everything they did they were also very reasonably priced and we never felt they were doing what many companies do when they hear the word 'wedding' and adding a zero to the end of every cost. We couldn't recommend Southern Events highly enough and would like to say a massive thank you for helping to make our dream wedding a reality. More...

I have never nor will ever find a events company who are so accommodating and flexible at such fantastic rates!
Hannah Hill the wedding coordinator, is so well versed in all of their products and helped advise us on our size of marquees, guest numbers and layout of our venue.
The communication up to the day was reliable and so helpful with times and names of staff communicated.
The on site team on our day did so much more than they'd originally said might be possible, pulling out all of the stops to make our day so special!
I will certainly use this company again and have been recommending it to all and everyone of my friends and anyone who says the word 'event.'

Where do I begin....Southern Events are fantastic. Hannah made the whole planning process of our wedding so easy which made us feel at ease. In the few days leading up to the wedding Tom and the team did a great job setting up and calming us down about the weather forecast. Hannah and Katie did a fab job laying up the marquee and all of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The food was amazing, there were several guests with food allergies and intolerances including the groom! The team did a great job ensuring all of the allergies were catered for! Our marquee was in a field with no electricity or running water and the team bought everything! We can't thank Southern Events enough for everything they did for our wedding day, it was absolutely perfect! Thanks again to Hannah, Tom, Katie and the rest of the team! We had our wedding at a local vineyard (Bluebell Vineyard Estates) and had Tom at Southern Events provide marquee and catering.
The day was fantastic and Tom helped provide the bespoke wedding we had envisioned, and better!
I recommend including the 360 degree bar, made a great focal point to find drinks and chat. Besides wines and lager on tap we also had Harvey's ale which was a treat for the many Sussex ale drinking guests. We had a 3 course meal, and as we think of ourselves a little bit as foodies (!), Tom sourced a very local chef very experienced in events catering who could provide a fine dining experience. Our guests all loved the food. As well as this, we had the hog roast for the evening, which was such a huge success, again I have to recommend this if any budget to spare.
Also in the package DJ, catering team who also staffed the bar -all did a great job, and luxury portaloos. We felt the price very reasonable. Will recommend to friends and family.
