I had a landscaping business lay a patio for me around a year ago and after the first season had passed I noticed problems occurring. There were sinkages and the slabs had actually started to have movement. After the initial upset due to wasted money I found Shane’s advert online and he came out to take a look. He actually showed me by lifting up the slabs that the base laid wasn’t sufficient and was not sturdy at all. I expected the job to be expensive due to the first person who had done it charged quite a lot but his quote was just below and he assured me it would be done correctly. Half way through he showed me the base he had laid and it was a lot thicker and looked so much more sturdy. If I would of found Shane to complete my work last year I wouldn’t of had the problems I did have. Shane’s prices aren’t cheap but neither is his work and I’m happy to pay more when it’s correctly done. More...

I had been thinking of getting an Indian sandstone patio laid for a while and was looking for the right landscaper to do the job. I had a few quotes but other people couldn’t offer the design I wanted as they said it would be near impossible to get a wavy edge. When I had Shane come out to me we sat down and drew the plan of what I wanted. Not once did he say it was impossible he even said about having a wavy brick border to accompany it. After calling 4 landscapers for quotes around the area. Shane was the only one who actually turned up on the time we agreed on. He is very knowledgeable in his field of work and gave me advice on how to make my very un even and out of control garden become somewhere that I wouldn’t be so ashamed of. My husband and I had an extremely bad experience with a landscaper who had taken a lot of our money and made a complete hazard of our garden. Prior to meeting Shane, we had talked about the idea of a garden make over but wanted to make sure we found the right person this time to complete our work. On our first initial meeting with Shane we explained all of this and our past experience. He was very understanding and gave us reassurance on his capabilities. We paid a deposit and had our booking date. He turned up nice and early on the day and started the work. I wish we had met him a few years ago when we had the other person as Shane has done a beautiful job and I’m excited now to get the front of our house paved and landscaped. I had a very limited time due to work commitments and a holiday for the works I wanted to be completed in. Shane came in and absolutely transformed the front and back garden within 2 weeks! I had an extremely bad experience a few years ago from another landscaping business that left me with out the garden that I had hoped for so had given up. I called Smith and Sons on the recommendation I got from a friend. After the initial visit I had outlined what I wanted and they showed me some of there previous work. I paid a deposit for materials and work was underway within 2 days. I now have my garden the way I wanted it a few years ago and it’s all thanks to these guys. Had my fence blow down in these terrible winds. Shane came out and gave us a very good quote which my wife and I jumped at. Done everything we asked for and the new premium panels look beautiful.
