Following a terrible experience with another artist for my wedding 2015, which resulted in me doing my own makeup I was nervous about trying one again for my 40th birthday do. .. Absolutely adored my hair and makeup!! Sam was so warm, friendly and reassuring. She discussed potential and preferred looks and gave honest opinions. It felt like a friend was doing my makeup not someone i had just met. The products used were quality, clean and professional. Sam also gave me the option to use any of my own products that i favoured. Her work is very versatile, i was getting glammed for an asian wedding and she knew exactly where and how to pin all my jewellery and even helped pin parts of my outfit (indian outfit). Samantha was amazing to work with for my wedding! She did my hair as well as my makeup for myself and my mum. She is reliable, on-time which is obviously something you really need to count on in the midst of every other thing going on with a wedding. Super nice, great to chat with, and the best part was that she was able to pivot for my requests after the trial, as I wanted something slightly different on my wedding day and she nailed it. I can’t recommend Sam and her team highly enough! I met Sam a few months before my wedding and couldn’t have felt more comfortable in her presence. She was so professional and calm, offering suggestions and listening exactly to what we wanted. I decided the week of the wedding that I wanted to have a flower crown and a different hairstyle, when I told sam when she arrived on the morning of the wedding that I wanted to go for a completely different look to what we had practiced she was so encouraging and calm. I’ve worked with Sam on a number of projects as a photographer and I’m ashamed that it’s taken me this long to write her a review as she is quite simply amazing. She is professional and efficient and works well to deadlines, but apart from this she is fun and relaxed and manages to put even the most anxious of brides or models at ease. Sam’s work is also stunning, we have submitted work for magazines recently which would not have been accepted without the quality of hair and make styling that she provided. This is going to be a gushy review so I hope you are all ready! I first met Sam at my friends wedding a few years ago and right from then I knew she was going to be my MUA if I ever got married! She was so incredible with my bud I knew she was the one! So in essence I had her picked out before my husband lolol She was one of the first suppliers I booked and I’m glad I managed to secure it! She is so indescribably sweet, hilarious and all round good soul. She instantly put the whole wedding party at ease at the trial, which due to our nonsense chatting took a little longer than we thought but she listened to our ideas (some good, some bad, some had none at all) and she created the perfect look for all of us! She didn’t make us into someone else she enhanced what we had and I have to say my girls have never looked better! On the wedding day she arrived at my door with a huge grin and arms full of kit! She didn’t rush us at all, the room was full of giggles and she kept this nervous bride smiling and chilled AF! (In my head is was anyway lol) My hair and make up lasted aaallllllll day! Bridal make up June 2019Well, what can I add that has not already been said Sam is a amazing make up artist, extremely talented and too modest. I was a mature bride( 46) and I suffered a complete lack of confidence about it all. I saw Sam for a trail explained that I was clueless about hair and make up and she was very patient. After my trail I finally felt that I might actually be able to pull it off ! . My mum ( 79) was also made over by Sam and looked incredible . Sam's kindness and patience with her was brilliant.She also made up my sister ( 57) so if your looking for a MAU with a talent for the older lady , Sam is defo your woman.I had a lot of amazing comments on the day about how I " glowed" and how beautiful I looked. The make up lasted the whole day and even my Man of honour commented that at 3am I still looked " as fresh as a daisy " LOL Aside from Sam's talent she is also a extremely honest and kind human being. I booked Sam for my wedding. I met her for first time when we did the trial session before the wedding. I had no idea of what I wanted? She came up with loads of good ideas and the end result was fantastic. I’m no expert when it comes to hair and makeup so when I was looking for someone to trust with my bridal styling for my big day it was a pretty daunting task! It was a relief when I spoke to Sam as she instantly sounded confident that she understood my vision and could help me. I knew the type of look I was going for – I had plenty of photos as examples, I just wasn’t sure which of them would look good on me! Sam came to my home to do a trial for both myself and my Bridesmaids and I loved the look she gave us all as it was exactly what I had envisaged. We knew then that Sam was the right person for the Job! Sam is a lovely lady with a great sense of humour and she joined in with all our bridal party giggles and chat both at the trial and on the morning of the big day. Sam did such an incredible job at doing my wedding make-up and hair and also at styling my bridesmaids. As I usually don't wear lots of make-up, I was a bit worried about 'turning into someone' I wouldn't be able to relate to.
