SDL Surveying

I pity any seller who gets a valuation booked from a lender who instruct SDL to Value your home. If the Valuer being sent from SDL's name's Sean Sexton, request an alternative valuer. For NO reason or any listed conditions he down valued our property by £29.000. Valuation report has no comments filled in. details considered essential for mortgage purposes, all boxes ticked. No repairs required, yet drops value.
The report was for TSB as the lender, with the reduction its dropped the LTV for the buyers, leading to them retracting an aggread offer of £279.000 so pulling out of the sale. Safe bet for the TSB, but 3 same type properties in a half mile raidious have sold at or around our selling price in the past 10 months. So if SDL' s coming to value your house be afraid. i would not let them value your Dog House let alone your Family Home.

And the one star rating ! ! well you don't get that for competence.


Well here is an up date. 21st May 2019
After losing the sale due to the Moron Mr Sean Sexton dropping 30k off our property value, for NO REASON, we have sold again.

And guess what, different company, full value of sale figure, house is worth what we were asking for six months ago !
SDL is linked with Graham Penny Auctions, so the mind set is low value for auction, our just incompetent you chose. But the important thing is you can chose. You have the right to refuse the surveyor appointed, so use option, and refuse SDL at all costs. DO NOT USE More...

Their survey was a disaster. Wrong number of rooms, wrong number of bathrooms, wrong construction type and evidence of previous tenancy when it was a new flat. My mortgage application was delayed because of this. I cannot believe how lenders can work with such an unprofessional company.
