Ruth is a wonderful teacher! She makes each class interesting and challenging. I have learnt so much about yoga from her. And I am way stretchier now : ))

If you think yoga isn't for you, try one of Ruth's classes. I enjoyed the challenges, but she would always have alternative postures if you found them too difficult. Try!!

I have been attending Ruth's classes for a couple of years now. She is a thoughtful and considerate yoga teacher, always encouraging you to do what is right for you at each session. I have never left one of her classes not feeling vibrant and energised in both mind and body. More...

Ruth's Yoga classes are suitable for all levels, whether your just starting out or been practising for years. Her approach is always gentle and encouraging. I have been suffering with lower back pain for years and Ruth is very considerate to my needs, making me aware of alternative postures. I have found her class to be extremely beneficial physically and mentally. More...

Ruth's class was fab, a lovely selection of postures, paced just right, instructions so clear that even I got the postures right (rare) and pitched at a level perfect for the group. I felt totally reinvigorated. Thanks Ruth! More...

What do you love most about your job?
I discovered yoga in my twenties but fell in love with it in my thirties, after the birth of my children. Yoga kept me sane and grounded during those wonderful but sleep-deprived early years. Nothing re-calibrated me physically, mentally and emotionally like my yoga practice. Now, in my forties, my passion for yoga grows every day. My own teaching style is a fusion of all I have learned and is best described as Hatha Flow Yoga.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve been lucky enough to practice with many excellent teachers in a number of different traditions, including Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha. In 2012, I completed The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course with Mara Musso. This wonderful experience deepened my knowledge and inspired me to undertake teacher training. I then went on to complete a teaching diploma with the highly experienced and hugely inspirational Mary Mackie and Lesley Issacson of the Yoga Training Centre. I set up Ruth Timms Yoga because I wanted to pass on all that I have learned and continue to learn every day.
Why should our clients choose you?
My training with The British Wheel of Yoga is a level 4 diploma and is one of the most comprehensive and rigorous courses available. It is one of only a handful recognised by Ofqual.
