Excellent little hotel , set in its own grounds with a picturesque stretch of river , reception , bar and lounge, lovely olde worlde atmosphere from a bygone era, we took the choice of the taster menu for dinner , food was excellent , as was breakfast, only criticism was the maitre d , who deterred from the overall relaxed atmosphere of the hotel , verging on the Basil Fawlty at times , this type of table service adds nothing to the ambiance of the hotel , leave it to the polite and very capable young service staff please.

My parents stayed at The Roman Camp Hotel during their honeymoon 59 years ago. My family and I have often driven past the rather hidden entrance to the drive, and wondered what it was like. |Last night, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to stay the night. What a wonderful hotel ! |The gentleman on Reception was great; our room , with jacuzzi bath, was charming; the dinner was delicious; the downstairs reception rooms were delightful and atmospheric; the hotel grounds, and gardens were fantastic. |This morning, bright and early we went down to a stone table and bench beside the River Teith, and sat with our hot chocolates and watched the water flow by. We then wandered around the grounds and walked garden- and said hello to some ponies as well. |The Roman Camp was everything we hoped it would be, and more. |We hope to come back. |ND More...

This is an amazing comfortable country house hotel. The whole hotel is beautifully furnished in a period style. It has coal fires which add to the ambiance. The breakfasts are great quality with plenty of choice. The staff are well trained and very attentive. The 5 course taster type evening menu is nothing short of masterful. The grounds are spacious and great for a short explore. All in all this is a lovely comfortable hotel. More...
We spent one night and enjoyed dinner at the six hundred year old Roman Camp. The setting is stunning and the building itself, once a hunting lodge for the Earls of Moray, is like going back in time. We had afternoon tea by the fire when we arrived. We walked through the little town and visited the waterfalls, just a short hike from the hotel. Our every need was met by eager staff, sometimes literally at a run. The evening meal began with drinks in the lounge and then offered a set menu which we both chose. This was a lovely dining experience in a gorgeous old room with a big fire place and windows all around. Our food was lovely and the entire experience was a pleasure. More...
Just back from three days stay at the Roman Camp Hotel and all I can say is the whole experience was fantastic from the surroundings to breakfast and meals in the potting shed. The staff are a real credit to the hotel and we will definitely be back, a five minute walk had you in the middle of the Main Street which meant no driving for the duration of our stay. Bracklinn Falls is a real gem to visit, the shops and eateries in Callendar were warm and friendly which added to the whole experience. More...
We stayed here for a couple of nights while walking in the area. The hotel is in a lovely location, off the main road so it’s really quiet. It’s got great character but could probably do with a bit of TLC. Our room was lovely with dual aspect windows, one looked out over a flat roof which the hotel peacocks spent a lot of time on, much to our amusement. We ate in the little bistro restaurant which is in a converted potting shed and it was great. Food was lovely, the service was friendly and it had a great drinks menu. More...

We had dinner at the adjacent cottage on evening and stopped by the hotel afterwards. This property is amazing and the grounds around the buildings were very scenic. We sat at the park on the river before dinner and enjoyed the peaceful nature all around. The food was very delicious and they have good options between fish, burgers, and other local culinary choices. If you are looking for formal, I would recommend the Hotel, if you are looking for something cozy and low key you can eat at outside bistro dinning option. The staff was friendly helpful and the food delicious. More...
We went to Roman Camp on a whim, as we were in Scotland for our honeymoon. We went for afternoon tea and can honestly say it was the best experience we have ever had. Staff showed us in and we had a choice of the many rooms to have the afternoon tea in. Each room was decorated with its colour themed Christmas tree. Staff were amazing. The customer service was 5 star and they lit the open fire for us.||The afternoon tea itself was off the scale. So delicious! We were left alone to enjoy and chill, without us feeling like there was no one around. Tea pots were filled up regularly and the fire kept going. They were just the best.||The food was brilliant and staff even boxed up what we couldn’t eat for us to take home. This is the afternoon tea experience that we measure all others against.||When in Scotland next, we will definitely be going there again. More...

We stay for 1 night in one of their vittorian room and we also had dinner in their restaurant. Their location is absolutely amazing. They have 4 wonderful common rooms where the guests can have an aperitive before dinner in front of a warm fireplace. The waiter will take your order from there and he will accompany at the table when the dinner is ready. You can take the menu of the day or order a la carte. We choose the menu that was composed by 2 starter (scallops and a pea soup), 1 main (duck) and 1 dessert. After that you can choose to stay at the table or go back to the fireplace rooms to have a coofee or a tea with some sweets. There were also people returning having had their wedding there years ago, they absolutely adored it. This place was just luxury for us. Shabby? Chic? Perhaps. It was oldy worldy and we adored it. The service was magnificent, the meals just SPOT on, the room, the bed, the bars and the number of places to sit, then there's the grounds and the gardens, totally in keeping with the whole set up. Character property in lovely location. Enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is a bit like an old pair of slippers - perfectly comfortable but a little frayed at the edges! The decoration is worn in places but, I suppose, that is almost a part of the charm of the place. Food was very good but the dining room is a little bizarre. The room is large and the diners were all at tables spread around the edge so it seemed a bit barren and cold. Our party of four stayed for one night in the month of May and this was our overall favorite Scotland experience for the following reasons:||First is the historic interest. The lodge was originally built for the Duke of Perth in 1625. Interestingly, the building is pink because during the Jacobite revolt, this signaled Jacobites that they could use this place for refuge.||Second in the warm and comforting bar and drawing room with a magnificent view of the gently flowing River Teith. Before dinner we sat in front of wood-burning fireplace and enjoyed our drinks. ||Third was the food. We had both dinner and breakfast in the main dining room and all of our meals were excellent.. The service was outstanding without being overly attentive or stuffy.||Fourth are the grounds, which were spectacular and the best that we saw in Scotland with a path along the river and wonderful gardens that studded with statues, arches and beautiful flower, shrubs and trees. .||Fifth, are the rooms. We stayed in the Dimity Room where we found the sitting room, bedroom and bathroom to be large, functional and well-decorated.||Finally, the all staff were friendly and outstanding without being over-bearing.||In sum, we strongly recommend this hotel for anyone who enjoys historic charm, beautiful grounds, great food and outstanding staff. This would not be a good choice if you are looking for modern decor and more formal experience. More...

We recently stayed here as wedding guests, I was instantly impressed with the 17th century building facade but more impressed with the fact that they had kept so much of the period internal features, most upmarket hotels have sterilised the inside beyond recognition. We were checked in straight away and our luggage was taken to our room, we were given a full tour of the hotel(bit of a labyrinth) and then left to do as we pleased, there are extensive grounds running along the river and ample seating outdoors if the weather is fine, the staff were very attentive, especially a young man called Barnaby and a girl by the name of Morgan, nothing was too much trouble for them and were always on hand to help or serve, the food at breakfast and the evening meals were second to non, I realise that it is not cheep to stay here, but for a treat or special event, I would not hesitate to recommend, More...
Wow -- even if you don't stay here you MUST visit this lovely old 17th Century house now turned hotel -- with many interesting rooms downstairs to look at and walk through. The outdoor grounds provide a peaceful place to walk -- and the flowing river is just 100 yard down a short hill. The real star is the Bistro restaurant next door which turned out to be our best meal during our two week tour of the UK. Only reason we wound up there is because they were full at the main hotel "fancy" restaurant - the the desk manager steered us to The Potting Shed. Chef was Polish and is certainly going places -- as for VERY reasonable prices we got amazing, beautiful dishes like Beet Root, Parsnip Fritters, Chicken wrapped in Parma Ham, Fish and Chips, Lamb, and the most wonderful Bread and Butter Pudding for desert. Atmosphere was rustic and charming -- sit on the small covered patio for that view. Would HIGHLY recommend if you are anywhere near this area -- it's worth a special trip just to see the Peacocks parading on the lawn. More...

We were given a voucher for this hotel as a present, so we had no clue where we were going. I care here with friends to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The setting was beautiful with lovely gardens and walks. Inside was even nicer and the public rooms were like stepping back in time. I loved everything about them from the open fires, furniture and decor to the lighting. We didn’t have the pleasure of staying in this beautiful hotel, but were lucky enough to stop for a spot of lunch. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, the food was amazing and the service was flawless. Will definitely be back!
My wife and I had a very nice stay here for our wedding anniversary in December 2018. The hotel certainly has a lot of character. The building dates from 1625 and it really does feel like youre entering some kind of time warp. Even just the entryway is quite an experience, what with the ancient wooden door and the huge fireplace in the lobby. Although the decor is pretty sumptuous, its also very dated and not always in the best condition. A lot of the public areas look like they havent been remodeled since the 1920s or 30s. I would say that its a great choice if youre looking for somewhere thats cozy and has plenty of character and excellent service, but its probably not going to be competitive with the very high-end luxury hotels in other rural parts of Scotland. However the food was excellent, and in that regard I would say that its on par with the very finest hotels. Overall, if youre looking for a fine-dining experience and a cozy stay in a place with plenty of character, and you like places with quirky old-world charm, then I would certainly recommend it. A country house hotel that certainly offers a luxurious experience. The trip started well when the staff upgraded us to the Barrie Suite. This places oozes history, and that there are only men employed. That was my first impression we got, where I needlessly wondered if the pink palace and men-servants only was code for something more exotic and enticing. The name did make me wonder, and Roman Camp does strike a note ... later learning of its history and significance regarding Roman settlers at this very place abolished all willy-nilly thoughts. ||As we arrived quite late where supper was almost done, Graham our host charmingly and expeditiously granted us cocktails in the drawing room before seating us in the dining room, where they allowed us to complete check-in post a sublime dinner. I’ve been constantly surprised with the quality of food in Scotland, and the Roman Camp Hotel did not disappoint. ||We stayed in the Yellow room and as with everything there, it was grandiose and rich in history. You really get a sense of that from this place, and w Graham telling us about the spirit of the painting on the wall, we felt even more entrenched in its history. I swear he was attempting to awaken her by tapping on the painting a few times, which thankfully she stayed dormant. ||The hotel is like a maze and I found each room to be more opulent than the last, until we found ourselves in the chapel and then the late night shenanigans came to a respectful end. Next day we walked the grounds and was awed by its reach. There is a little more of a sense of lived-in in its entirety where we found it perfectly acceptable. There was a wedding planned and the grounds were abuzz with happy going alongs, so we quickly checked out and made off to our next site.||All in all, we enjoyed our stay at this enticing location. A wonderful almost 400 year old manor with a friendly staff and ambiance that makes you feel more like staying at a friends home than a hotel guest. Beautiful old building in a lovely quiet setting. Handy for Callander's High street and for Loch Katrine boat trip. We stayed here two nights in a spacious, well equipped room with garden views. Usual minor problems such as lighting for make-up and shelf space for toilet bags. Friendly staff including efficient housekeeping. Dinner and breakfast are main attractions and didn't disappoint. Fine dining at dinner was a bit formal. The fish courses were especially good...salmon and lemon sole. Service at breakfast could be speeded up with buffet for cereal and fruit juice. The last stop on our trip around the west of Scotland and a simply perfect experience. From check in to check out service was efficient, personal and discreet. We decided when planning the trip to have one hotel where we would pamper ourselves just a tad (that is not to knock any of the other hotels we stayed in at all) so had booked the high afternoon tea and also the tasting dinner menu. Both were a delight, we had not had a formal afternoon tea for quite some time and whilst perhaps a little decadent was so so pleasant. The sandwiches, savouries and fancies served up were quite filling and beautifully prepared.||Our tasting dinner was superb here is a kitchen that knows what they are doing and unlike some prepare perfect fish. Sole is my favourite fish and the sole served was absolutely delightful perfectly and lovingly cooked - the entire meal was excellent with a nice time between courses to digest a little and to talk.||Our room was splendid we went for a superior and was not in anyway disappointed with a door directly to the garden for our dog to go for a walk, large comfy bed, Jacuzzi bath and as quite as the grave at night.||Yes it not cheap but when everything is absolutely perfect you are getting value for money and that is important, would I stay here again? My husband and I have been planning a trip to the Roman Camp for years, but each time we tried to book we found we'd left it too late. We first stumbled across the hotel during a break to Callander about 9 years ago, when we tried to dine there, however they were hosting a private wedding. ||||To say we were not disappointed is an understatement, when we finally managed to get a break away there this May, ahead of the birth of our first baby – a bit of a babymoon if you like. ||The hotel is beautiful, from the grounds and the peacocks, the setting overlooking the river. The rooms are decorated sympathetically to the style of the building, a really country feel hotel, but not that you’d know it. You almost feel like you’re a guest in someone’s home with the family photographs and the way staff greet you as they pass you in corridors. ||We were shown to the Barrie suite which overlooked the gardens, it was beautiful. Rain shower, roll top bath, private sitting room area and separate bedroom, with a large king, maybe even super king bed. ||The staff were very accommodating when it came to dining arrangements for me, as some of the options on the a la carte menu, which weren’t suitable for me to eat while pregnant. They couldn’t have been more thoughtful tailoring the amuse bouche too – so thank you. The service really was outstanding. ||The meal it’s self was exquisite. It definitely lived up to our expectations, we enjoyed three seasonal courses, I enjoyed the celeriac soup, followed by the Hake and a ridiculously indulgent chocolate pudding to finish. Every bite was delicious. ||We would absolutely recommend the hotel or restaurant to others. We had a really wonderful stay. Thank you! More...

The Roman Camp markets itself as having 15 beautifully appointed rooms but, from our recent experience, this is not the case. ||We were in the “Bears Den” and whilst the bathroom was modern and well equipped with a cascade shower and spa bath the room itself, whilst comfortable, was tired and in dire need of renovation. The sparse furniture was basic and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel which has oodles of history and character. ||The grounds are extensive leading down to the river Teith but the large walled garden is mainly overgrown and unkempt. ||There are a few basic flaws which you would not expect in such a prestigious hotel. These were brought to the attention of reception but were never addressed. The towel rail in the bathroom never heated up for the duration of our stay and the WiFi in our room was very weak and constantly dropped out. My partner forgot to pack her shower cap but unfortunately the hotel could not provide a complimentary one. ||The star of the Roman Camp is the quality of the food. Dinner was a 5 Course tasting menu which was delicious and one of the best we have experienced. The quality, presentation and flavours of the food was superb and the service was first class. Compliments to the very talented chef and his team. More...

Great venue with fantastic food
I had decided to hold my 90th birthday dinner at the Roman Camp. the champagne reception was not what I had expected - I would have appreciated a little more excitement with the nibbles but the champagne was quite excellent. The dinner, however, was a different experience. I confess that I had never previously heard of, leave alone tasted, tomato pressé, but that really delicious starter was to herald in the most sumptuous dinner - seared scallops, pea soup, roast duck and a chocolate sweet. The Sancerre and Barolo wines complemented the food to an excellent degree. Service was first class as one might expect. A dinner to remember More...
This was the last hotel we stayed at to round off a super eight days driving around Scotland and its Isles. We’ve been to some marvelous hotels, each memorable for different reasons, and this one stands out also. ||Loves:|- The history to this hotel. It’s more than 400 years old and has its own story to tell.|- The lovely gardens (beautiful flowers and freshly cut lawns) with wooded glades and paths leading down to the river. The large grounds make for a lovely morning / post dinner stroll.|- The number of common areas inside the hotel which guests are welcome to use (the library, bar area, lounge and conservatory each of which have their own character).|- The flawless service from all the staff, especially the general manager who gave us tourist trips and introduced us to the post-dinner tipple called “glayva”.|- The beautiful “Potting Shed Bistro” which gives guests a more casual place to eat something simple yet delicious.|- A super breakfast, as to be expected.||Other comments:|- While we appreciate the history of the RCH, the bedroom that we were staying in could do with a makeover. Some of the wooden furniture (not the classical pieces) looked rather tired and the bathroom towels were so thin and completely frayed. There just wasn’t that luxe feel to the room (which is why we happily spent more time in the common areas mentioned above).||Niggles aside, we loved this hotel.| More...

I had an overnight stay here a couple of months ago with my husband as a wee treat to ourselves. It was really wonderful, it truly is a very luxurious hotel. The hotel is outstanding and the rooms lovely. The one thing however that makes this place so special is the food, it is to die for. It isn't cheap but it is worth the money. Whoever the chef is deserves praise indeed, the food is really very fine dining . When I say it isn't cheap it is in fact £55pp for the 4 course dinner menu which is actually not that bad and it is the first time in my life I have tasted grouse. The A La Carte menu is expensive however, the creel and langoustines to start is £21 but again you get what you pay for and it is worth every penny. The service to me was a little bit stuffy and not that relaxed but for a hotel with this reputation and standard it is to be expected. Overall I would highly recommend the Roman Camp Hotel even if just for a meal, it is outstanding! More...
I took my boyfriend here as a birthday present, our first trip away together. I had been emailing the hotel before our visit, wondering about the best room to stay in. They all looked so good but I decided to go for a small double which looked very cosy. When we arrived we felt instantly relaxed in such a cosy and welcoming hotel. The fantastic lady at reception (I wish I had got her name) said she remembered me emailing and struggling to choose between rooms. I asked if there were any rooms with a jacuzzi bath after all as we had been on a big hike and thought it would be good to have that luxury. She took us to a superior double and instantly upgraded us. I couldn't believe it. This really set the tone for a wonderful stay. We were so delighted with our stay we didn't want it to end and stayed another night. The room was immaculately clean and we loved the little touches such as complementary apples and bath robes. ||||Both nights we had the dinner in the restaurant as the 8 amazing courses were clearly not enough for us for only one night! I particularly enjoyed the pre-dessert, dessert which wasn't on the menu so a lovely surprise! The quality of the food was absolutely outstanding, I didn't want any of the courses to end. The waiting and bar staff were so attentive yet left us with the relaxed privacy to enjoy our meal. Their timing regarding taking the different courses out was perfect and as soon as we ordered another drink it just appeared there almost instantly in front of us. At breakfast they were very accommodating of my slightly fussy eating habits! The whole environment, setting and ambience was just fantastic and we would absolutely stay again. Thank you Roman Camp for making our first trip together so special! We have been recommending to everyone! More...

More...
The last time I stayed at the Roman Camp was about ten years ago and the experience was so pleasant that I resolved back then to visit again which I did three weeks ago for two nights. But a lot can change in ten years and so I was understandably apprehensive that things might have changed for the worse. As things turned out, my apprehension was ill-founded. The Roman Camp is every bit as delightful today as it ever was. |It is located right off the main road that runs through Callander and is a few minutes walk from the centre of this charming town. On this occasion I used public transportation to get there, which involved taking the train from Glasgow to Stirling and then an easy transfer to a bus that stops a few yards from the long drive leading to the hotel’s reception. |Upon check-in I asked if it was possible to get a complimentary upgrade but being a Saturday night it was not possible because the hotel was full. However, I was offered an upgrade for the next night that I subsequently declined when I saw my assigned room, called ‘Flowers’. It was everything one would want in a room, good size (in spite of it being described as small), charming, cozy, good lighting, beautifully furnished and over-looking a garden. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Terry robe, fresh fruit, mineral water, tea, coffee and biscuits were all provided. The bathroom was modern and had all the fluffy towels and toiletries you would expect of a four star hotel. The only thing it lacked was a bathtub. |Besides the accommodation the charm of this hotel includes cozy lounges with fireplaces, a formal dining room and extensive grounds to explore. A welcome addition to the hotel is a bistro where you can eat informally if you’re not feeling like a full-on dining experience in the formal dining room. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Service was excellent and friendly enough if a bit stiff at times. In short, the Roman Camp seems like a little world unto itself and even if you did not make the short walk into town, staying here is a delightful experience in itself. I highly recommend it.| | More...
We had the most wonderful wedding experience at Roman Camp and could not have imagined a more perfect day! Staff were brilliant, being both attentive and operating behind the scenes. The hotel was stunning and perfect for our intimate ceremony in the Library, with drinks and canapés on the lawns. We were so spoilt for choice on locations for photographs that we exhausted our poor photographer! The food was great and the whole feel relaxed but special. It is true that the interior isn’t modern but it suits the building very well. Thank you to everyone at Roman Camp for making our day so special! More...
My daughter got married in the library at the end of June. Eight of us stayed in the hotel for several days beforehand in a variety of rooms including my beautiful suite where the bride got ready. After the beautiful intimate ceremony we had champagne and canapés on the lawn followed by an evening meal. The weather was fabulous and showed the hotel at its absolute best and to say that the whole experience was like a wonderful fairy tale would not be an exaggeration. Although we were small in number, Eric and his staff ensured that we were cosseted and feted throughout our whole stay in this magical place. Whilst the hotel would be wonderful to stay in at any time, if you are planning a wedding, which could be much larger than ours if required, look no further for memories that will truly last a lifetime. Just Returned from an over night stay at this wonderful hotel. Gift for my wifes 40th...was upgraded to a lovely large room with jacuzzie bath. Room was perfect. Food was fab - chef(s)at this hotel are on top of there game. Many areas within the hotel to just sit and relax, especially when the log fires are lit.||Many thanks for a lovely stay.||(Take some walking shoes as many walks from hotel including the hotel grounds) More...
More...
Wonderful quaint small country house hotel
Stayed here after checking into a pretty awful B&B and immediately checking out again! ||We were delighted by the hotel - lovely room, fabulous comfy bar and really spectacular grounds. ||We couldn’t believe how lovely the location is, hidden away from the town with acres of lovely gardens by the river. ||Callander was great too. Ate at Mhor Fish which was excellent. Coffee back at the hotel in the library overlooking the river. Friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more. More...
Lovely afternoon tea.
This hotel is an old house that has been done up. The focus is on developing a service culture and a solid quality offering according to the very chatty receptionist who showed us to our room. We arrived later in the day and only had one night, but this is the sort of place you could easily stay for a few nights as Callandar is a lovely little town. We ate in the garden buffet because the restaurant had x number of courses at a ridiculous price and we were not all that hungry. The bistro food was great and light and quick (and cheaper). Wait staff were young (international) and very friendly (and got captured by a chatty American so it was hard to get their attention) and service was relatively fast.|Our room was spacious, very ornate furnishings (somewhat tired), but the best shower I had had in 3 weeks of hotels (oh yes, power shower) and lovely toiletries (solid soap - yippee!). Breakfast was great but served in the dining room and to order - with all the guests spread out on separate tables and talking quietly in this huge room with damask serviettes etc. - so not entirely comfortable (we did not have kids but 3 tables worth did). Something 'serve yourself' buffet style would work so much better!!|There is a delightful formal garden behind the Garden Buffet and a lovely river at the rear of the property so have a walk around. The location is fabulous. More...
Lovely afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings and good company
Another excellent stay this year. Food was superb and customer service was excellen again. This is a lovely hotel which we have stayed in several times with consistent quality. ||The young p/t and f/t staff this year were all very professional and polite. A credit to the management encouragement and training. Sorry but we cannot remember all the boys names but the young girls, Holly, Lauren and Holly(2) were excellent given the short time at the hotel. More...
We stayed here last year and we had to return as it is our pick as a base to explore the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. The magnificent old buildings, the beautiful landscape, the quiet rooms and the friendly and efficient staff is a total package. This time we arrived at a quiet time after Easter and were given an upgrade to a 3 room apartment with the best of facilities. From our window we look over landscaped gardens and often see the wildlife especially peacocks. The hotel offers many relaxing rooms complete with fireplace and there is no better way to relax after exploring the countryside. Breakfasts were to our liking and the attention to detail is well above average. We will return! More...
Attended for a wedding. Could not fault wonderful venue with great staff
We enjoyed a wonderful meal in this lovely old building packed full of history and atmostphere. The food was superb and the staff were warm and welcoming. The young waiter (Harris, I think) was charming and gave us some excellent suggestions on some local walks and things to see and do. Its at the higher end of our budget for dinning, but offers a unique old world charm and well worth a treat. Overall a great experience More...
Tout.

Great hotel in a nice area of Scotland, good access to Stirling and Loch Lomond! The hotel has exceptional service and great food!
My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. The hotel is charming and very quaint with lovely decor. The staff were friendly and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a bite to eat in the Potting Shed which is cheaper than the hotel and the food was delicious, very cozy setting and a nice atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic too, probably the best we have had at any hotel we’ve stayed. We would definitely stay again next time we manage another night away with no kids! More...
This was a night away for our anniversary. Gorgeous room with an amazing spa bath. We were upgraded to the yellow parlour. Staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more More...
I last stayed here when I was about 10 years old (47 years ago !) a family friend brought us here as a treat to stay for a night on our way to our yearly holiday in Kilchoan. |I have always remembered my stay here with my 2 brothers and mother, and wanted to give my mum now 93 a memory treat.|From the moment we arrived nothing has been too much trouble all the staff have been Fantastic.|When I rang to check and confirm my booking the day before arriving the 2 rooms I had booked were on different floors which was not a problem as I was just pleased I had been able to book.|But when we arrived this had been changed so that we were next door to each other which was really kind of the hotel.|The rooms are both beautiful, and our dinner was just out of this world matched by the very best table service.|Thanks to the Team at the Roman Camp, this is just what you need after s long tiring journey from Cambridgeshire in Bank Holiday traffic.|Another big plus this is a dog friendly hotel.|I will not wait so long before I return, Thank You More...
