I only had few therapy sessions with Richard, but I found his help invaluable. I have been battling with issues around my relationship with close family members for decades. I had previously gone to counselling and had sessions with other therapists, but I couldn’t help feeling like I was being talked at and offered a ‘one size fits all’ quick fix. Richard took the time and care to familiarise himself with my problems without being intrusive or judgemental. During the sessions I felt like I discovered certain truths and came to certain conclusions on my own. I have tried to resolve my issues on my own many times, like I’m sure many of us do, but I always ‘hit a wall’ and felt I was running around in circles, with the same problems coming back time and time again in particular circumstances. These sessions really helped me see the persons involved in a different light and I found myself much closer to truly understanding them and forgive them as well as forgive myself. I am still on this journey, but our relationship has improved greatly. I've recommended Richard to many of my friends. More...

I have been meeting with Richard regularly for a couple of months and I have to say I have found the experience life changing. I have previously tried different therapy and counselling techniques but have definitely found Richards approach the most rewarding. The introductory process is brilliant; I knew from first speaking with him that I’d found the right person to work with. Richard asked me to write my “story” which helped to bypass so many “getting to know you” sessions which normally take up so much of your time and as a result we were able to get to work instantly. He also encouraged me to set my own goals to help me think about what I wanted from our sessions, which has been so helpful in demonstrating in me understanding what success would look like to me and how far I’ve come today. All round I can’t endorse Richard enough. If you’re thinking about it, do it! Give it a try and see where you end up. (In addition, my partner, friends and family would all recommend Richard on my behalf as they have all noticed a marked improvement in my moods and how I deal with situations. I’ve also experienced some really positive work achievements that I could never have imagined possible months ago. when I started this I was only looking for a couple of coping strategies, now the thought of just coping seems like such a sad prospect.) Richard is a genuinely open minded bloke who has helped me a great deal. He has all sorts of ways of approaching what's causing you problems. The six months I spent speaking to him were genuinely life changing! All the anxiety and dread left me. Top stuff and I'd say if you're thinking of getting therapy, don't hesitate to drop him a line. Richard creates a space for your evolution and health that has high integrity and high possibility. For me I noticed that when we started the shift to a clear, gentle and free space for me to express anything, I was held and safe. Then the questions leading so lightly and smoothly that my emotions came and went and love and peace are all that remained. You need look no further, he is the one for you no matter who you are. I felt safe and held by Richard whilst visiting places inside of me that were uncomfortable. His way of reflecting back helped me to understand and move through my issues. I see Richard as a valued ally in my ongoing journey of personal discovery. More...

Q&As

I like problem solving and human systems are probably the most rewarding ones to 'fix'. I love it when I can guide a client towards and through some intensity and have them emerge on the other side feeling lighter and brighter.

I've been self employed since I was about 26 years old. First as a management consultant and then as a therapist. I like the freedom and the responsibility but sometimes miss having colleagues to chat (and moan!) with.

Clients seem to like the combination of taking therapy and energy work. If we can find a way to work well together then there is the potential to bypass a lot of talky talky stuff and work directly on the deep stuff that affects everything else. My style is informal and we often have a laugh while we are working. I think a lot of people like that too.
