We lived in this flat for 4 years, and we had a couple of complications over the first few years but nothing worth reviewing.
Within the last 14 months however, one of our showers fell through because of the mould we had been mentioning for about a year before hand. This took 6 months to fix, leaving us with only one shower for the flat.
Once the shower was replaced, we mentioned that a crack in the pipe was letting water underneath one of our rooms, causing the floor to slowly get more and more damp. This was yet again ignored, and over the last 5 months of us living in the flat (this was also the reason we had to leave), literal mushrooms started to grow on the floor of my bedroom, causing me to have to sleep on the sofa in the lounge for the last 3 months of living there.
On top of all of this, when we finally left, they decided to not refund us a large chunk of our deposit because of damage to the flat. The mould had caused a lot of the wall paper to fall off in certain parts, and destroy the carpet. They chose to ignore us for months, let us live in these horrendous conditions, and then dare try and charge us for the damage they were too ignorant to acknowledge.
The week before we left a contractor came over to look at the leak we had been mentioning for months, clearly because they needed it fixed for the next tenant. Absolutely abysmal.
Do not rent through this company.

Contacted Rent North East around 3-4 weeks ago to register myself. Within a couple of days i was receiving emails of different propertys that suited me and the area i was looking for. I arranged for a skype viewing instead of 1 in person to start with because the propertys were quite a long distance away and it saved me lots of time and money! The agent who showed me the property via skype was well mannered and very helpful explaining the ins and outs of everything i asked. I applied for a few of them via the Rent North East website which suited me down to a T as it could be done in my own time whenever it suited me and it was also very easy to fill in not complicated like some other companys. Within another few days the extremely helpful agent Jack Barnett who had helped me from the get-go was back in touch to say i had managed to secure the property i had applied for , i was stunned that only after a matter of days/weeks Jack had managed to secure me a lovely property right in amongst the area i wanted to move to. I cant praise him enough , aswell as the agent who done the skype viewing Jack was a massive help who answered every question i had with as much detail i could expect and more! Such a pleasant person to deal with. After the property was offered to me it was a matter of securing it with a small deposit to take it off the market and then set a date to move in and that was it! So happy with my choice to use RentNorthEast its been one of the few propertys ive rented were the experience was fast , smooth sailing and pleasant.
