Keith has carried out a few jobs at our home over the last few years.

Keith’s work is excellent, with a high quality standard of finish. He’s replaced a boiler and following this work he refitted our kitchen. Keith and his team kept us in the loop during all stages of works and asked for our final sign off at each stage to ensure we were happy throughout the works.

I hired Keith to plaster 2 rooms in my house. Walls and ceilings.

Keith is a nice chap, very polite.

The living room ceiling is 4m x 5m and I checked with Keith to see if he had help as from experience I know its a 2 man job. Keith assured me he would have help but on the day of the job he turned up alone. I probably should have asked him to come back another day with help but Keith assured me he'd cope. I wasn't too happy about his suggestion to only skim half the ceiling and feather it in.

Unfortunately the quality of the finish was not great, with track marks, waves and many imperfections that I did not notice until weeks after Keith had finished and downlights were installed on the walls. The ceiling feathering is very obvious.

I've since had the walls re-skimmed and spent a lot of time with filler, fixing the imperfections in the ceiling. More...

Hi Jason, In response to your review. I can confirm that the work I carried out at your home address was 6 months ago and its taken till now for you to let me know that you weren't happy with the work. I believe that some of the snags weren't noticed untill you had down lights fitted to the walls only then you could see any imperfections? On the last day of works being carried out I explain that the plaster would need polishing up in areas and this would be the decorators field to do this. I presume you attempted to paint the fresh plastered walls yourself and did any snagging yourself? I contacted you within minutes when you logged your review with bark. I was concerned and wondering why you didn't contact me. From calling you I learned that you had tried to call me on my old mobile number this had changed so you couldnt get through although this was updated with bark. There was no effort from you to get intouch with me through the bark platform to give me the opportunity to correct any works that you weren't happy with. I explained to you how rough the walls were before we started as these were bare plaster boards that had been wall papered over. You then stripped the wall paper from the plaster boards and there was no apparent plaster that had been applied. So there for chunks of plaster board was missing from the walls. ( I will upload photos of how damaged the walls were ) the walls really needed reboarding but you decide to prep all walls yourself . Upon calling you the second time last week the day after you posted the review I offered you a part refund of which you responded and said its not about the money and declined the offer. Its unfortunate that I didn't receive the communication from you through bark and given the opportunity to correct the snags your applying to. I do my best to make every customer happy , when given the opportunity I correct any snags that aren't apparent at the time of works being carried out ......

I was contacted immediately by Keith and after I received a quote for the work I agreed to it there and then.

On the arranged day of work, communication was excellent and the work was done throughly.
