Rebecca Harker

Becky (Rebecca) Harker was my Mum’s carer from April to December 2021. Mum had dementia and Becky came twice a day from Monday to Friday and once a day at weekends. She was more than a carer to Mum as they became best friends. Becky was always thinking of ways to help with Mum’s worsening dementia - she put signs up throughout the flat with pictures to help her remember the different rooms, and she wrote Mum’s daily routine on a whiteboard so she would know the times that she or I would be there. Mum didn’t like staying inside during the day, so Becky would take her for walks or drive her to places she knew she would like. Once they got there she would treat Mum to an ice cream or cake. When I went away on holiday, Becky would increase her hours to make sure Mum was looked after - she even took her to her own home and cooked her a Sunday roast. Becky is very skilled at looking after dementia sufferers, and provided games and jigsaws to play with Mum on rainy days. She is very reliable and totally trustworthy. But most importantly, she is an extremely caring person and she improved Mum’s life so much during her last few months. My family and I will always be grateful to her. More...

Rebecca is an absolute angel cannot recommend her highly enough looked after my mum who had vascular dementia with so much kindness she couldn't have done any more for her.
