About

Hi! I am Rebecca and I have been playing the harp for weddings and events for nearly 20 years! Over that time I have been blessed to play for hundreds of couples and feel very lucky to have been a part of so many amazing and unique weddings, civil partnerships, christenings, parties, and other celebrations.

Learnt to play harp (absolute beginner) in my 40s being unable to read music at all. Rebecca has been a very patient and inspiring teacher! She also runs a regular mixed-ability harp group for anyone who wants to come along and play with others, which helps build confidence and it's lovely to hear others playing. Having seen her teach children, she has a lovely manner and they respond really well to her. Every year Rebecca organises and runs the East Anglian Harp Festival which has scores of participants, local tutors, workshops and guest players/invigilators; if you want to start you can hire a harp from her - and she will help you locate one if you are't sure what you are looking for. I think she also teaches violin, piano and piccolo/flute/woodwind. She works tirelessly to keep harp music alive in the region and she knows how to tie a replacement string so it doesn't snap, which I still can't do! If you know someone who is interested in harps and harp music, I'd really like to recommend her. May 2017. More...
