My partner and I sought the help of Ramsay & White when looking to buy our first house.
The idea of buying our first home felt fairly exciting yet incredibly daunting for us.
We had some idea as to what we after in the property itself, but that was pretty much all we knew before contacting R&W.
We emailed Dean and he said he was more than happy to meet with the two of us and answer any questions we had on the process. He was knowledgable, very pleasant and highly professional at all times. He explained everything we felt we needed to know at that stage and cleared the air with a number of the little buzzwords that we just didn’t understand. It may sound trivial to some but prior meeting with Dean, whenever we were viewing potential homes and seeing words like “freehold tenure” it made us a bit apprehensive. We didn’t know what this And some of the other small print meant and we felt concerned that it was affecting us being able to clearly judge properties.
Dean found us a brilliant deal and we had the offer accepted on the home we wanted.
With our prior consent, we had already agreed to be sent a list of the documents that we would need to provide in the event of pursuing a deal. Again, it may sound minor, but it was just another example of good service as it saved time later on when we were wanting everything to be hurried along.
We sent off the ID checks, expenses form, payslips etc. and this was kept nice and simple and all completed with just a couple of emails each.
The mortgage was finalised in the few weeks that followed and Dean remained proactive throughout by contacting the lender in our behalf and passing on any updates.
My partner and I felt totally confident in Dean’s knowledge and guidance from start to finish.
We would highly recommend him and R&W as a whole.

Dean Cripps was our broker for our first mortgage. Like a lot of people, my partner and I had no idea where to begin the seemingly daunting process of getting a mortgage. What inspired you to start your own business?
Dealing with previous mortgage advisors in the past on applications, I found that most lacked the capacity to go above and beyond to help the clients, and would quickly dismiss possible cases.
