Love to come there wherever I'm in Manchester for the very best fish and chips in Manchester.

Decent food. Good choice of lagers and ales. Nice staff. Big beer garden outside that gets the sun for a majority of the day. I recommend getting there as early as it fills up quite quickly. More...

If you get into a discussion with a manta ray and the subject turn to boxing... Always say your favourite fighter was Sugar Ray Robinson. .. NOT SUGAR RAY LEONARD as you'd expect. They get angry really quickly and will end up chugging your beer. The beer garden will offer respite from the ray, but only when he isn't outside 'avin a tab. More...

Lovely place. I spent an entire afternoon here withy friends drinking beers. The location has a real British atmosphere. You can drink and eat, inside and outside, so they have a lot of space and seats. We went there in a quite Thursday afternoon and it was a bit crowded. I think in the weekend it could be better to book a table. More...

Food great. A bit of a whiff coming off canal but it is bearable. Would go back. The smoked haddock with mash and poached egg was amazing

Great bar, and you can sit by the canal at the back. Perfect on a sunny day. Plenty of ducks and geese about, so the garden is a nice place to sit with the kids

It has a great terrace beer garden on the canal for those after work summer pints. The lees pubs serve a great choice of ales and are locally based which makes it for me. The upstairs function rooms are also available for hire and make for good networking space. More...

Fantastic pub right behind Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. Also, not too far from the city centre. Ideal for a pre-concert meet up. The food is AMAZING, as I can testify. Not cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for. The beer is also very good. Wouldn't hesitate to go again next time I go to Manchester. More...

This pub is conviniently located next to the Jury's Inn hotel. Good food but in my opinion even better beer, including an awesome local stout.
It might be hard to get a good table during peak hours (i.e. when people get off from work) but the bar is not that busy so hang around until a table becomes free and you'll be all set.
Overall the pub enjoys a nice semi-modern atmosphere all around.

This is pretty much Lees flagship pub. Usual Lees beers. Nice pub inside but it's the outside drinking area overlooking the canal that makes this pub special. It's a sun trap so on a sunny day it's a great place for a drink. Very popular. Not tried the food but have been told it is good. More...

The free space near canal is great - not that it's scenic, but it's atmospheric, meaning the vibe. Haven't been inside the building much except to get a beer, but looks like there's plenty of space inside too. Also, good beers.

Great lunch time menu. Washed down with a lovely cool pint of Guiness. It's all good, and staff and Sarah the manager were very obliging .

A nice bar with a large outdoor terrace area which is probably the main draw for this place especially when the weather is good. The bar is located just next to the canal so it's all very pleasant, nice and scenic. Customers can be seen lounging along the canal walkway too. Friendly and easy vibe, with a traditional-ish looking bar. Didn't try the food but stopped here for drinks. More...

I like this pub. It's local to work but the beer is always kept well. The staff are pleasant. Had lunch here and rather boringly we all had cheese and onion Pie. It was seriously good. I make a good one but this was really good. Decent portion too. Will be heading back soon. Well worth a visit. Get very busy if the sun is out. More...

Good selection of drinks. The place really shines in the summer in the outside area which is vast and located canal side.

Friendly staff. Great to find a traditional pub that serves beer and not relying on food. Serves Lees own stout that is far surperior to Guniness. Well worth the visit.

Great bar all year round. The best place to sit and drink cider by the canal in the summer, warm, cosy and snug by the fire in the winter. Staff are lovely and very accommodating and there's a decent selection of beers on draught. Food is good, perhaps a bit pricey but certainly a nice lunchtime treat. More...

Good fire place, nice rang elf beer, outdoor heating looking out over the canal. It's a bit trendy but never too busy.

Great JW Lee's bar to call into if your in the area. Warm atmosphere with excellent bar staff. A good pub all year round & one to definitely visit in the summertime with the outside seating area when we get a bit of sun.

Went for a team meal with work. Tasty, well presented food in a great location. I ordered the Grazing Board which included 3 chicken wings, 3 battered cod goujons and a portion of messy chips. The goujons were a disappointment and I wouldn't recommend anything with beer batter as it is tasteless and quite tough to get through. I would recommend the messy chips as the beef brisket and cheese are perfectly cooked and mixed to create a molten treat. The chicken wings are nice but nothing special. I would go again for the messy chips alone. More...
