Unlike a lot of self-employed plumbers/heating engineers, R B Poolman are easy to get hold of - there's always someone available to answer the phone and I've never had to wait more than a week for an appointment and usually less. I've not yet had to use them in an emergency but I'm confident they'd respond in short order. Their prices are reasonable and in any case, what price can you put on reliability and quality of work? Why bother chasing up self-employed plumbers that never return your calls? More...

The lady in the office answered the phone straight away and was able to fit us in with one of their engineers for the following day. Such a change from other heating and water engineers we've used in the past, where even getting them to answer the phone or respond to a message is like trying to get blood from a stone. The engineer arrived on time, serviced our boiler, fixed a leaky bathroom towel rail and traced a fault in our heating system. He was unable to fix it there and then as he didn't have the part with him but he offered to source the part and come back and fit it the same day. However, we were reluctant to upset his schedule so we said we'd make a new appointment. He was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable and I have no hesitation in recommending this company. Outstanding service from R B Poolman, can't believe how quickly and promptly we were supported with giving the family some heat and hot water back into everyday life. One call on Wednesday, followed by an estimate and complete installation of a new Worcester Boiler by midday Friday. Wow! A massive thank you from all of us for your prompt and professional work. The quality of the work is extremely neat, they spent a long time removing all my in built kitchen furniture to make sure the pipework is near invisible. The heating engineers the polite and professional, to have all the work complete in a day was amazing and when they all left it was like they were never there and the results were even better than ever expected.
