Services

Working collaboratively with clients and design team professionals, we produce designs that are not just functional, but that are efficient, imaginative inside and out and that are truly user-friendly environments.

At the design stages, whether it is a bespoke house extension, refurbishment or a new build project, we work collaboratively with clients to really understand their often very personal needs and from there agree the brief and final design. We use our design and technical know how to develop their intentions, generating both 3D models and images to help them accurately visualise the end result.

We believe that our designs should not only meet the needs of our clients’ briefs, but that they should also improve the quality of life for those who use the space and improve the urban environment around it. This ethos comes into full force when working with our community and socially focused clients. We have a genuine passion of working with community groups and really getting to grips with their often unique and varied objectives. We use our honed skills in the design and construction of buildings, to develop engaging, functional yet cost effective spaces that stand proud at the heart of a community.

We offer a meticulous attention to detail when it comes to these projects ensuring that the buildings not only achieve the the low energy standards but are also comfortable, enjoyable spaces to be. And we of course work closely with specialist design and construction professionals to achieve the rigorous technical standards needed for this kind of property.

We use our design focused attitude to understand the objectives of our clients and to create interesting, innovative and practical schemes. We have both the capability and experience to take a project from those early days of concept planning, through to detail and technical design development and then on-site to the final build. One of our specialisms – and where things all began for us as a practice – is developing small urban infill sites, which can prove to be tricky but highly rewarding spaces to develop.

The success of a project relies on immersing ourselves in the process of understanding what our clients are looking to achieve. We do this through careful consultation and discussions with all those involved.

With nearly thirty years experience of administering JCT building contracts, we are appointed by the client to run construction contracts and inspect the works on site.

When it comes to listed building applications, we understand that there is both a need to conserve and a need to develop existing buildings. We take an attentive attitude through the careful restoration and adaption of listed and historic buildings, to ensure that their development is both respectful of the existing character and adheres to legislation.

We offer a full detailed design and construction information service including writing specifications and Schedules of work.

We offer a one stop shop service from inception to completion of all size projects. As lead consultant and designer we are used to directing multidisciplinary consultant teams and advisors.

Beyond the architectural design drawings, we have a number of ways to help our clients visualise what their build will look like such as computer generated images and 3-D modelling.

The Practice has the capacity to deliver projects of various scales using BIM technology sharing the design resource of the building during its lifecycle.
