I can thoroughly recommend Neil (and apprentice Lewis). Excellent, professional service when he replaced our combi boiler this week.

He fitted us in at very short notice when our cranky old boiler committed hara-kiri. Turned up early, worked until late, explained all the functions of the new boiler, controller and app and left the house clean and tidy.

Neil advised on and fitted a Viessmann combi boiler in a very awkward spot, repalcing an old floor standing gas boiler. This involved fitting a new flexible liner in a masonry flue in an Edinburgh tenement, together with general pipework and radiator upgrades throughout the apartment. Writing this review 10 months on, the boiler has performed faultlessly, the job was done precisely on schedule and on a very reasonable budget. In a nutshell;

- Fast, efficient service (came to look at our problem the next day).
- Neil is very professional, clearly knows his stuff, takes the time to explain things and is very good at communication (we dropped our last plumber due to lack of communication and failure to show up when promised).
- Neil was very keen to show he is gas safety registered, and is very trustworthy.
- Got us up and running again after our old boiler broke down by installing a new system.

We found Neil because of the other positive reviews left for him, and I'm happy to add to those reviews. I am happy to recommend him to other people. We were let down by another plumber on multiple occasions, and the service offered by Neil was night-and-day compared to the last person.

All in all, we couldn't be happier, and we look forward to seeing Neil again when our new boiler has its 1st annual service. Cheers! More...

I'd highly recommend Neil. He came around same day to check out what was wrong with the boiler and great at giving easily understandable information so we could make the right choice of what to do; including a choice of new boilers. He got on with the awkward job quickly, discussing regulations and what the options were. Neil did a really neat job (better than what was there before) and left the place spotless. We had a few questions a few days later and he came around and helped us sort out a couple of things. Trustworthy tradesman. I used Plumbfaster for a complete strip out and replacement of my bathroom. From the moment Neil arrived to give a quote it was clear that he knew what he was talking about and gave me confidence that he would do a good job, and so it proved and my confidence increased when he turned up on time to start the job. I didn't make life easy for him as I had ordered some sanitary ware from Germany which .were not easily convertible to connectors available in the UK but Neil persevered with good grace to find solutions.The result is that I now have a very smart new bathroom finished to a highly professional standard.I will certainly use Neil again, and I can recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional, knowledgeable and friendly plumber whose only interest is in doing a good job. We have completed quite a number of house conversions and this is the first time we have used Neil who was recommended to us. I was a little nervous having always used an excellent plumber we have known for many years but who was unavailable. What a great experience from Neil. He communicates fantastically well, makes every effort to manage tight timescales and his work is efficient, organised and clearly of a very high standard. He takes great pride in what he does and doing it to the highest standard. Not just a solid 'manual' plumber but very technically knowledgeable too which gives you great comfort that everything has been properly tested and check ie Safety is No 1 priority.

Boiler down, no heating or hot water on one of the coldest days so far this year. Phoned my previous engineers, no response then phoned another local plumber - no return call. Searched local Stockbridge magazine and decided to call Neil. He was working in the Trinity area and said he would be round in a short time to get us up and running. Boiler needed new pump and hydraulic block which he got and fixed. Kept me informed all the way. Great chap,instils confidence that he knows his job.

Neil at Plumbfast has done a lot of different jobs for us from replacing radiators, fitting water filters and fitting out three bathrooms. All his work has been completed to a high standard and he is a tidy worker, who is reliable and reasonable priced.

Neil has done all sorts of jobs, both big and small, fixing the shower, troubleshooting leaks, installing a towel warmer and boiler service amongst other jobs. He has also been a dab hand at joinery work on the floors.
He is punctual, extremely good at cleaning up afterwards and good at giving advice. Where faced with an unexpected problem, he is quick to consult and solve it satisfactorily. He has also been quick to respond to an emergency and sort it, even if only temporarily initially, so I can access the service lost.
I have absolute confidence in Plumbfaster and can rest assured that the final bill will be reasonable. I would not like to have to change from Plumbfaster.
