Usually before undertaking a new recording project i feel nervous about the outcome and whether the finished product will sound good. However with Phoenix Sound Studios, from the very start i was confident that our final product would sound amazing. Hamish was incredibly friendly and made for one of the most relaxed working environments ever, he really knows his equipment well and knew exactly what to do, to give us the very particular sounds we wanted. One of the other hold ups i find with studio is appliances going wrong and things not working, however, everything worked perfectly and any hitches or bugs in software, Hamish knew exactly how to deal with them so that our time was not effected. Usually Vocals can be stressful when recording EP's as they aren't as reliable as an instrument. However, i found them to the most stress free and pleasant I've ever found them, due to the easy work environment Hamish has created, whilst being incredibly efficient. We finished our project in the allotted time and couldn't be happier with the final product. Would HIGHLY recommend visiting Phoenix Sound Studios. More...

An incredibly professional and charming recording studio filled with all the necessities to pump out a great sounding EP. Hamish knows exactly what he's doing and will strive to achieve the best recordings . Recording has never been an experience I have enjoyed - I aways feel completely on edge and anxious in the weeks leading up to the session, then even more so all the way through. Hamish made the experience incredibly relaxed and enjoyable, all the while being professional. The studio is very well equipped with amazing guitar amplifiers, drum kits, cymbals, microphones - all of which Hamish has expert-level knowledge on. It was a breath of fresh air to work with someone who knows their equipment and understands how to fix any problem that may arise, which Hamish did a couple of times. Aside from all this, the studio is easy to find and situated very nearby a 24-hour Tesco Extra which kept us fed and that. This is not a paid advertisement for Tesco. Phoenix Sound all the way.
