Mothers day lunch. 3 mums, one kid and one very happy fella. We arrived to a warm welcome, lots of smiles and with the mums made to feel special. The set menu was excellent in terms of choice and quality with a special mention for the awesome beef Sunday lunch! What makes a great eatery... well you decide. For me the staff are equal to the food and the team at the Red Lion pub are fantastic!!! The food is consistently superb to make this place well worth using spending this special occassion there. We would like to thank all the staff at Peak Edge for making our wedding day so perfect it couldn't have been better. The day was amazing and so were the team from Angela and Emma to the waiters/waitresses. The cleaners making the rooms so lovely. Anything we asked for was done nothing was any trouble. The decorations were put together beautifully and looked better than I could imagine. Me and Nathan can't thank you enough. The food was cooked to perfection please pass onto the head chef and his team the food was wonderful. The guests were all impressed with everything and could compliment the venue enough. We had an amazing stay in the Harrogate suite, which we highly recommend to fellow guests. Room service, the meal in the Red Lion, and the staff were all top quality and we enjoyed the easy access to wonderful walks nearby. Will be back again! Simon & Tara.

This was a really nice place to stay. Well away from the town and situated nicely on the edge of the Peak District. Hotel was very well looked after, rooms were clean with nice furnishings. Food in the restaurant and bar were excellent and well presented. Staff were pleasant and friendly and prices were reasonable. We attended a wedding there and the staff worked well with the registrar to ensure that a good day was well organised and friendly. If there were a downside the lighting in the rooms was not perfect and the showers left room for improvement. More...

Beautiful pub out in the countryside. Definitely somewhere you'd want to go for a special day/night. Lovely ambiance and if it wasn't for the torrential rain when I went, there is a lovely beer garden to enjoy.

Sunday lunch has seldom been as relaxed and enjoyable !! The staff cheery polite and very accommodating The bar well stocked and The food . .Wow .. from the good selection of starters well presented and delicious to Roast beef served pink soft and delicious not to mention the amazing creamy cabbage and glazed carrots mmm .. if there was a disappointment it would be the rhubarb crumble which was not crumbly however the other elements on the plate more than made up for it .. I attended a wedding reception here. The venue is very nice and the food was fantastic. The bar is particularly cosey, not sure what the prices are or what the rooms are like as I was only attending the reception, but it was a lovely occasion.

I came to the hotel for a friend's wedding and it didn't disappoint. I didn't stay at the hotel but used the amenities associated with the wedding.
The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, the venue and scenery were fantastic for a wedding venue and the food - amazing!
Both the 3 course meal and the evening buffet were exquisite, even when catering for a large amount of people. I would highly recommend this place as a wedding venue.
