@[574457255:Stephanie Ann Thornton] and I always stay here when we are working in Essex and it's always been great. After a long drive we decided to eat in their Lighthouse Restaurant and what a fabulous meal it was. The starters were cooked to perfection and we wouldn't have been disappointed it that had been our main course! Stayed here three times while working away and I have not one complaint at all. All the staff are helpful and friendly, the beer and snap is top notch, rooms are clean and well kept! Staff even kept in contact with us while we checked in late and stayed around till we arrived. Brilliant!! More...

My husband and I have stayed here several times when visiting my daughters and grandchildren. Rooms are lovely. Breakfast is great! Bar food is very good, and excellent value! We've had the pre Christmas menu for all the family, which was perfect! My daughter's wedding reception in the function room upstairs a few years ago was brilliant too! Lovely to stay in all the rooms are quite large and you have a pub downstairs breakfast is good for another £7:50 each as well, staff are friendly and hardworking and just nice.

Beautiful to sit outside and have lunch and a good catch up with my friend yesterday. Bit of building work going on at the moment but I guess they are making improvement. Was still lovely.

My family hired the function room for a celebration and also stayed in the hotel overnight (along with other family members and guests). Everything was fantastic. The function room is huge, has it’s own bar and can be set out how you like. We also opted to include a buffet too which everyone loved. Right from when we booked we found everyone at the Oysterfleet so helpful and accommodating even after a few calls to check details and ask for changes to tables etc.

We were able to decorate the tables during the day and was checked in on to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything.

It was lovely to be able to stay the night and not need to travel home late at night and we were delighted with how big the room was and the super comfy beds. We stayed in a family room (2 adults and 2 babies) and we all slept through the night from being so comfortable (including the babies!).

We loved everything so much that we will be booking again for any other upcoming celebrations we have.

Very good pub/carvery/ala carte restaurant
We go there for carvery lunches usualy.
They do special occasion meals too, mothers day etc.
To get a table there you have to book, it is very popular and usualy full, especialy for Sunday carvery but we managed to get a table yesterday ok.
Food is of high standard, 2 course carvery under £14 each, drinks are reasonably priced.
Staff are very good, fast and courteous.
They are very accomodating for disabled access, moving chairs and tables around when we take my Mum. They have a lift to access the top function suite (mothers day function).
There are currently some works going on which has changed the access to the outside decking area. There is a bar outside which they open as occasions call for, we attended a wedding there some years ago.
Ducks, geese; swans, morehens and hundreds of carp in the lake outside which children can feed.
Never having stayed in the hotel i cannot comment, but ive not heard any complaints from guests when passing reception.
Parking can be an issue when they are busy but we have always managed to get in eventualy.
Overall, excellent! Pleased to recommend it to anyone. More...

Stayed at The Oysterfleet hotel 31st aug and 1st sep , first evening we had a meal for 14 people the food was fantastic , plenty of it too , well presented , clean , staff were fantastic couldn't fault anything at all , well done to the staff and the hotel for a welcoming stay and excellent food , rooms and staff ten out of ten thank you

I would like to thank Michael and the whole team for making our Silver Wedding celebration so perfect. Everything was exactly as we wanted, and nothing was too much trouble. We had about 20 rooms booked in the hotel, and everyone had a great time.
