Thomas has just delivered our beautiful bespoke oak table and it looks wonderful in situ, with its gloriously natural grain and skilfully wrought shape. True British craftsmanship , lovely people to deal with and absolute value for money.I could not have made a better choice than Orpago to make my dining table. It was a big decision and right from the start Tom took time to understand what I was looking for, provide valuable guidance and supply a detailed quote.If you can, visit the workshop to discuss your ideas, see the raw materials and the finished examples of work. (Photos just don’t do it justice !)Table and chairs arrived within the promised timescale and were carefully delivered, taking time to position them as I wanted and provide follow up care .The beautiful table, chairs and bench have received so many comments and compliments on the “feel”, the quality and the craftsmanship - and will become a family heirloom! It's rare to find craftsmanship of this quality. I searched long and hard to find a desk of the right size and specification and was delighted when I found Orpago. Tom Dorich hasn't disappointed. He was helpful, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The finished desk is every bit as good as I expected from the photos on the Orpago website and was delivered within the given timeframe. I was looking for oak bespoke table / benches / coffee table for my new home. I found Orpago by trawling through the internet and was immediately impressed by their responsiveness to my questions. I visited their workshop in Devon – which was a 400 mile round trip and was pleased with everything I saw. Although a fairly small operation, Tom and his team produced an amazing looking table, with benches and a floating beam coffee table in a complimentary style. They really know their craft. Whilst being given the impossible task of finding new benches and tables for the schools new dining room i stumbled across Orpago on the web. We required non standard sizes and after speaking with Tom was very soon assured that he was the company to work with. Just taken delivery of our new sideboard to match the table and chairs Tom made for us last year. As usual, the craftsmanship is superb and it not only looks fantastic, but it makes me want to touch it every time I walk past. I have no hesitation in recommending Tom and his team - everything worked perfectly and Tom was able to turn our somewhat vague thoughts into exactly what we were looking for. We live almost 500 miles away so we have never met him and had not seen any of his work so it was certainly a leap of faith based solely on other reviews and our email exchanges but I can honestly say these are the best purchases we have ever made - they are our family heirlooms of the future.
