Galley Room - private booking and a surprise birthday lunch.
This is was all organised over the phone and by email and I cannot fault any of the staff at all.
They were clear and helpful with what the venue could offer.
We organised a set lunch and welcome drinks for our guests very easily and the Galley Room was a great space for the event - what I hadn't expected from the photos was the windows that let in all the light and made it feel even bigger.
The food was faultless - although we all agreed that serving meals on boards/slates is a bit overdone and we would welcome some china! :)
Our only issue was parking that seems to be an issue with Clifton itself and the hotel offered us a a cheaper permit if we managed to find a space in a local bay.
Thank you so much for making this occasion so special.

Straight to the main event - the food was of great quality. That's presentation, taste and balance - admittedly it was a quiet Tuesday night, so maybe the chef and waiting staff got to focus on us. But our starters were beautiful to look at (camera click), light and accompanied by great fresh bread. Mains - the veggie option was delicious and voluminous; the lamb was amazing, if a little pink for my tastes. The waiter gave an *informed wine recommendation* which is not to be taken for granted.
