After seeing the high quality of Martins work at the graze offices in Richmond, I asked him to quote for a TV wall unit that my wife and I wanted for our front room. From the outset Martin was very professional with his approach, offering us lots of options and advice on the best design to suit our home and needs. The full set of drawings he produced were great and really gave us clarity of what the finished unit would look like once installed. He was very responsive to emails and kept us informed on the progress of the project at all times. We had a brilliant experience with Martin, who created a huge shelving structure for our playroom, beautiful alcove shelving and cupboard units for our living room as well as hallway storage and coat hanging cupboards. In hindsight, we are fortunate this was the case, as we would not have met Martin otherwise! From the very beginning, we were impressed by how consultative, polite and considerate he was. His attention to detail during the scoping phase and responsiveness over email was reassuring. After meeting with a couple of other carpenters / specialist wardrobe builders who didn’t seem to be able to find a suitable and satisfying solution, we were really happy to find Martin, as from the design to the implementation of the project he really listened to our ideas and needs and was committed to responding to them. Martin and his team transformed our bedroom and built a wardrobe that exceeded our expectations, completing the job on time. Martin has an artist's eye for detail and perfection and is a very approachable and nice person. I highly recommend Martin. He has made a few things for me, including a very large freestanding bookcase. He worked closely with the architect and me to ensure the design came to fruition. His design flair, engineering and carpentry expertise and craftsmanship, as well as attention to detail, really made a difference. It's a great piece, which the photos that will follow clearly show. He also made some amazing kitchen doors from reclaimed wood, despite the poor condition of the wooden boards we found online. The result is as good as anything you'll see on Pinterest! From our rough sketches and a chat Martin produced designs and then fitted two excellent shelving units for alcoves in our living room. He was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He stained the wood to match existing furniture and fitted them so we are able to remove them easily if required. I have used MW Creative Carpentry 3 times now and am totally delighted.

All the jobs (fitted cabinets in a bathroom in the eaves of a building, wine rack and cupboard in a utility room out of the reach of a toddler and a bespoke TV cabinet where all the cables, speakers and devices are hidden from view but work perfectly) have been designed, delivered and installed on time and on budget.

Martin built a fitted set of wardrobes for us in our bedroom. He was fantastic. He's a really great guy to deal with, very friendly, personable and honest. He's also very diligent and worked hard to understand we wanted during the initial scoping phase and hence the customisations were well thought through. In doing so he gave clear advice on what he thought would be the most appropriate (and not most fee generating) choices for us. The build phase was quick and efficient and he even took time out to help me build a new bed I didn't have the kit to assemble it. Martin has worked on numerous bespoke projects that have brought our brand to life in objects such as coffee tables, fire extinguisher stand/holders and even a beautiful bespoke wooden graze box product that we gift to significant staff leaving the business.

The two most recent projects:

graze reception sign

Martin hand-finished and installed our chunky 40mm Oak 'graze' letters. Martin was instrumental in liaising with the Oak panel manufacturer and CNC cutter to ensure the matierial he received to finish-off was perfect. The letters look amazing and have brought our logo to life

reception desk modification

We had a reception desk that we ripped out of our old office that needed to be modified to cover up some unsightly cabling and to cap off one end that used to be up against a wall and was now exposed. The capping needed an interesting solution to work with the features of the desk. Martin designed, built off-site and installed a modification from MDF with some Oak veneer. Martin lacquered some areas ready for painting and we since tiled over some areas too for a 'kitchen' effect.
The end product is a cleverly-capped end of the desk and a Oak-veneer topped 'box' that sits over the unsightly cables that doubles as a handy courier delivery shelf for our reception team.

Martin has been great to work with at all times throughout and his work is well-designed, executed and in all cases, a true work of art. More...

Martin was recommended to us after our relatively small but highly bespoke projects were turned down by several large companies. Looking back, we’re very glad they did, as we are absolutely delighted with the work Martin did for us. Martin took the time to discuss with us what we were trying to achieve, understand how we wanted the end result to fit within our interior and came up with great design ideas. His craftsmanship is really excellent and you can definitely see the quality of his work in the various pieces he produced for us. Further, he is very responsive to emails and sticks to deadlines (or will let you know in advance if something takes longer than expected). Even better, the rooms he was working in were clean at the end of each day when he was on site. Overall, we can only give high praise to Martin for his work.
