What a wonderful place, the tree infront of the house is beautiful as is the interior. The wooden beams and the fire place were perfectly crafted. We were the only people there and there was an atmosphere of the past More...

Stunning in its simplicity. A pity it had been newly whitewashed and there were areas that you couldn't go but definitely worth a stop over. Wouldn't be a full days trip though. Maybe combine with bedgellert? More...

Not quite as interesting as it used to be before it became a wedding venue but still well worth a visit.

Funny little place, at first we wondered if it was someone's house, but the door is open and you can look around inside. The wooden beams inside are really decorative, it was amazing to think about just how long ago they were carved and carefully placed all those years ago! Also, very peaceful...I could have just sat in there for ages. It had a kind of calm feel to it. Well worth a visit, it doesn't take long to look round though, maybe half an hour. I can see why it's used as a wedding venue! More...

An amazingly intact medieval hall. There was no one around so we just opened the door and went in. Interesting if you like historical buildings. We went here after visiting Criccieth Castle. Free to look about but take note - it is just a single room hall, we viewed it from a historical perspective. It is used as a wedding venue. No toilets, cafe etc. More...

We had the most amazing wedding at Penarth Fawr on August 26th. Just a beautifully simple venue with wonderful hosts that could not do enough for us. We were very lucky with the weather which meant that photos and drinks could be served outside in the stunning grounds. Thank you so much for making our Wedding Day so memorable for everyone! we got married here in June 2017 and it was just perfect, thanks Gwyn and Caren. needs barely any decoration as the hall and surrounding speaks for itself!

Just a quick note to say thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day perfect. The hosts could not be more helpful and welcoming. We kept the decorations very simple just with lots of battery-operated candles and wooden hearts which looked amazing. We had a string quartet on the gallery, taxis doing runs from the bottom of the hill and a drinks van outside. Nothing shocked the wonderful hosts and they smiled through all my crazy suggestions. We had a bridesmaid stay in the wonderful Shepherd's Hut with her partner, which they very much enjoyed. Photos to follow. More...
