Keller William Corona agents had a sponsored training event (Thanks to Jim Brown!) with Krav Maga Instructor Neftali Rivera at Corona Krav Maga - Modern Combat  & Survival Training in Corona Ca. It was very informative and extremely helpful! I definitely feel empowered with the self-defense moves taught!I highly recommend everyone to take a class with Neftali at Corona Krava Maga and learn how to defend yourself! Can't wait to go back! My daughter and I attended an active shooter seminar and walked away with a wealth of knowledge. Amazing instructors, that push hard to make sure you understand the concepts. Also, non-judgmental of this out of shape, middle aged Mama that could not keep up.  They did not instruct to go looking for trouble, but gave us the tools to know what to do if we are ever in an unescapable situation.  I highly recommend this incredibly talented group of instructors that push you to be your best.  We'll be back for your next seminar. This class is amazing and all the instructors are so great. This class is for people of all ages and they teach amazing real self defense AND respect. I have my two daughters in this class and they are 11 and 13. They are teaching and reinforcing what we have always taught our girls about respect and how nobody should touch them without asking. I really can't say enough about how much I love this class and the instructors. I hope my kids never have to use what they learn but I'm confident that if they do they will survive. More...

Being in Krav Maga has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made and I would highly recommend these classes for anyone. As a woman, learning to protect myself and others in dangerous situations is invaluable and something that I am grateful to have. I trained with this group from 8/15-10/16. Neff was the primary instructor, with Louis and Todd also instructing several classes. Each class covered an initial warm up, combative techniques, self defense techniques, and simulation drills. Each instructor is awesome and will personally work with you to improve your techniques. You will also work with classmates varying in different ages and levels. The drills were used to take what we learned and apply them in a simulated situation (For instance, being choked and pushed from behind). We also had training in knife and gun defense techniques and reenacted active shooter situations. These helped me to ingrain what I learned into muscle memory. I initially started taking these classes with my brother to learn self defense, but learned so much more. I became stronger, confident, and able to react rather than hesitate. These classes were a lot of fun and everyone there was welcoming and friendly. I was sad to leave due to relocating for a new job, but hope to visit a class sometime again soon. Check these classes out! More...

Where do I start? This place is awesome for those looking to train hard and learn real life combat survival skills. Krav Maga is not a sport; it's a survival system. The Instructor: Nef is the head instructor and provides world class instruction. I have trained with him off and on for a total of about 6 months. He's an excellent coach who knows how to teach anyone ranging from experienced fighters to first timers. He creates an environment conducive to learning, yet simulates real life situations. He also gets in the mix and frequently trains and fights with us during the classes. The Facility: there is nothing special about the appearance of the training room. What makes it unique is the small space adds the real life application of situational awareness. Working around small spaces and training partners is actually a great learned skill. The People: You have a range of people who attend this school. Honestly the people who do best are those that are willing to train hard. There is a lot of sparring and combat training in each class. I can honestly say no one is trying to hurt anyone, but getting hit and hitting other people is the reality. For real life self defense, this is essential. If staying in shape is your primary motivating factor, find a different gym. This place is in the business of keeping you alive when you are being forced to fight for your life. Lastly, Nef and the school are very supportive of Law Enforcement and Military.  There are multiple cops and firefighters who train here regularly. More...

I have been training here for almost a year now after being introduced to Krav Maga at UFC Gym in Corona a few years ago(also taught by Nef).  I have been very satisfied with the training and the overall experience at Modern Combat and Survival. Level 1 and Level 2/3 classes are offered which focus on combatives and various defenses including knife and gun.  Various drills are done including stress and multiple-attacker drills that really push one's cardio and allow the combatives and defenses to be put to action. The emphasis is on self-defense and doing what you have to do to get back home to your loved ones(or protecting them AND yourself )if you find yourself in a bad situation. I also like that there is also a focus on situational awareness as well as the the legalities of defending oneself. The instructors including Nef, Louis, and Todd are quality individuals who are very professional, approachable, and care about the students progressing while making sure everyone is training safely. Class size is good to allow individualized attention and fellow students, many who have been training with Nef for years push you to get better and keep coming to class. Good family atmosphere! Great for ladies and kids/teens! Great for those in Law Enforcement! Friday night is fight night and it is a good opportunity to spar and work on combos and defenses.  Overall, this is a great Krav Maga program and a viable system for those looking for a self-defense system vs doing martial arts for sport. I am happy to train at Modern Combat and plan to keep training! More...

The real deal! Neft, Todd, and Mike are all awesome guys. I believe there's one more instructor but I haven't met him yet. I was looking for a Krav Maga class for a while and went to one in rancho, which was also a nice class just a little too far from my house. Anyway the head instructor Neft is an awesome guy, he makes sure to take time and make you feel very comfortable and know the technique before advancing. He's very respectful and knowledgable. I would highly recommend trying the class out! It's a great workout and always fun learning how to defend yourself in stressful situations. More...
