Guys, please do not use this guy . This has been my worst experience in life . I am a business owner myself and understand the power of reviews but this has been the worst experience of my life in last 18 years running my own business . He will take your payment and ignore you like an EX . I mean seriously , you have paid over £1700 for the services he won’t even answer his phone or reply to emails for 7 to 10 days . His phone never works let me tell you try this before you make a payment, he will make a story about faulty phone but as a business owner will you ever turn your phone off for a month ? Exactly the phone was off , it’s not like he blocked me as I tried other phone numbers but his phone was actually off for month . You will wait with your builder to get a STRUCTURE drawing but this idiot will turn his phone off and ignore you . I am filing a CCJ against him as he has wasted so much of my time to get my project finished, personally I have spent over 14 months with him for a project which should have a took less then a month but still on going 😡😡 FOR GOD SAKE , PLEASE FIND A PROFESSIONAL . I am spending another £2000.00 to get another architect who’s helping me to get my plans approved and waiting for a refund from this idiot who just ignore any messages and emails . His quote was reasonable, and he went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I were happy and confident with our plan (which was to remove a supportive wall and install an RSJ, for which he did the structural calculations). I would highly recommend MiM projects Muffadal designed two projects for me one was a complete re design which he took time to listen to what we needed and came up with an amazing interior redesign and back extension the whole process went smoothly and we had no trouble with getting planning . permission. Muffadal answered all the questions to building control and made sure nothing was delayed . I would highly recommend Muffadal if you need any architectural work and steel calculations done he is very reasonable with prices and delivers work on time which is the most important thing when dealing with builders . We chose MIM Projects to undertake architectural drawings to obtain permission for extending our property. Initially we were satisfied with the service and the plans, any changes we requested were applied accordingly. Our designs from MIM, we feel must be said, along with the service was a 5 star... unfortunately that is where any customer service ends. The final and most critical part of our project has been now a complete failure and has caused massive implications. We decided to market our property and, as many sellers opt to do, was to add planning permission for extensions that would subsequently add value to our end sale. We were advised of an 8-10 week wait for approval but time went by and we contacted Maff for advice but as we received no response from him we chased the council ourselves after 3 months. They could not see what the extended delay was caused by but escalated the case. The next communication we receive is from the council advising that our planning application had been closed. Confused by this, it comes to light that after receiving our application they emailed our architect requesting "critical dimensions". Furthermore he had 28 days to submit these after which time our application would be closed. We have tried calling, messaging and emailing Maff but have absolutely no response. His error of not sending dimensions with the plans, along with not resubmitting the required information and then no courtesy to respond to us in any way (we can see his messages have been read!!) have cost us what could have been an additional 10% on our selling price. The thing that has frustrated us more than anything is the lack of communication, as he prides himself on this, especially after his response to other reviews that he always gets back in touch. It may have been an error for not sending the right plans, these things happen and we would be obviously frustrated but also understanding, however... not sending the standard measurements is beyond poor for an architect that previously worked in the council planning department. Maff, if you do decide to respond to this review, you had ample time and opportunity to contact us as we've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but it's too late and you have cost us a potential higher valued sale. So to all those relying on plans being looked after from start to end, I would definitely not recommend MIM Projects. We are so let down. We do not like leaving bad reviews, very rarely do but we would not want this to happen to any other hard working individuals putting their hearts and souls into their future. More...

I hate to leave anyone a negative review but unfortunately my experience with MIM Projects was far from ideal. I commissioned Mufaddal to design my loft conversion. The initial plans went back and forth with the council and took a long time and despite my builder starting approximately six months after the initial plans were lodged we didn't receive full approval from the council before work began (we had a kind of conditional approval so were able to begin). But, I understand that sometimes people are busy so I can forgive this and whilst slow, I was kept informed, although I did have to chase at times. However, the big issue I have was that we had no support during the build. Whilst I expected issues to arise (as they often do during building work) I had expected MIM Projects would be on hand to advise. Indeed I thought this was part of the service I had paid for. When my builders started work they hit a large problem which required the support of MIM Projects to reconsider the positioning of the staircase into the loft. We immediately made contact and asked for help. MIM Projects spoke to me and my builders on March 22nd and we were assured of help within the next day or two. The help never came and I admit that we made the decision to not chase this help - I didn't feel we should have needed to do this given the seriousness of the situation was apparent. Work was underway and we didn't have the time to wait and so my builders carried on re-designing as they went. We never heard from MIM Projects again, although as I explained I did not chase them again. I have given two stars as all steel calculations etc. were provided as and when requested but aside from this I have not been left impressed. The building work is now done and complete to an incredibly high standard, but more or less nothing remains as the original drawings which, whilst necessary, I feel were a complete waste of money. How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The main thing to check is whether there is enough head height available in the loft. Ideally, you want 2.4m from the top of the ceiling joists to the underside of the ridge board. This will allow enough height to install RSJs which are required for the floor supports and also allow enough height to increase the size of the rafters if required.

The majority of our services are not provided Online or Remotely. We need to visit the property to carry out a survey to start the drawing process.
There are times when structural calculations can be proivded without attending site, but there should be accurate architectural drawings in place for this to happen.
