had lunch in Marwicks. lots of wonderful choices on the menu and the food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. am staying the night in the hotel and have booked the Millstream restaurant which has 2 AA Rosettes restaurant for tonight. looking forward to dinner.

Lovely restaurant in the beautiful picturesque village of Bosham, in the grounds of the Millstream Hotel. The food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed. This was my third visit this year, and I’m sure there will be many more visits to come. Our first Visit,it won't be our last,a warm welcome awaited us even though we had not booked a table the restaurant was very busy,weeere shown to our table by the restaurant manager,a jug of iced lemon water was put on the table,which is very rare these days,we choose to have a main course and a dessert the food was wonderful as was the service,we will defiantly be returning.
Would reccomend it to everyone,thanks for a lovely experience

Myself and my partner had our wedding here. It was the most perfect day ever. Everything went to plan and flowed this was due to Tom making it run smoothly. He was brilliant and made all of us feel welcome and comfortable. The room we got married was lovely set out. It was nice the weather was sunny and bright as we could all enjoy ourselves in the front garden before and after lunch. The food was delicious and the luncheon staff were very attentive throughout and made sure myself and Alex were happy by checking after every course. We all enjoyed tea and coffee in the garden after along with our wedding cake and Tom let us use the garden until we wanted as the weather was on our side! Ourselves and the guests were throughly pleased with everything all the staff did which we want to thank them for(especially Tom who helped us through the last few months). Took my very fussy mum out for afternoon tea and to my shock she loved it all.
Service is top notch to start with. Mum ordered a baileys and one of the team went looking for a new bottle while another thought they were out, so took a second choice of sweet martini from her. After the first guy came back with a new bottle of baileys he came over and said you didn't want that so I'm taking it away (even thought she and I had a sip) and bringing you the baileys.
Food was just perfect.
Service is just so good there I cannot recommend this place enough. We're going back for a meal, and hopefully more afternoon tea as it's the best value for money around!
Lovely little place tucked away as well, be great if you fancied a walk around to blow some cobwebs off too. More...

I had lunch with my friend. She recommended going here as she is a frequent visitor. I was happy to try it as I haven't been here in years. Quaint place. We chose the two course set price menu - The food was well presented "nouveau cuisine"-style. Not large portions but rich and full of flavour. I had chicken and my friend chose fish. We were regular lunch visitors for several years, and after a three year absence we returned for dinner tonight.

Starting in the lovely gardens we enjoyed a glass of their excellent house champagne - so good we've adopted it as our house bubbles too - Guy de Chassey is just perfect. Moving on to the dining room, we were a little disappointed to be on the worse table in the house, right on the thoroughfare and adjacent to the door into the bistro side of the room, where the noise levels are significantly higher than 'fine dining' should permit.

A warm creamy borsht in a shot glass was an excellent amuse, sadly let down by a small portion of Brillo-pad, but otherwise excellent. On clearing, we alerted the waitress but the comment fell on deaf ears.

Having already placed our order, the restaurant's signature dish of twice baked soufflé soon arrived, and lived up to expectation - surely the best we've ever found in years of extensive research! Meanwhile the very reasonably priced Chablis arrived - it was insufficiency chilled and we had to ask for an ice bucket.

After lengthy pause for the mains, the guinea fowl with boudin blanc and spinach was perfection, my bream also on spinach was great but the crab beignet was disappointingly oily and stodgy.

This time was asked for a delay before pudding, and the wait was worth it - pear and almond tarte and white chocolate cheesecake, both were excellent.

The bill arrived with double charges for champagne so that needed fixing, and then we had to ask for them to take our money.

Food quality excellent, not far short of full marks, service mostly good, maybe just over four stars, but attention to detail rather lacking on several counts only warrants 2.5 stars. On average I'd say four. More...
