Excellent hotel for a lively weekend away... right in the thick of it! Request a room on a higher floor as there can be a lot of noise from the street. We watched the England game in the lounge/Restaurant... the lady serving was very accommodating.
We ate both nights in The Curious Tavern next door. As we were going out for drinks we just ordered bits to share... well presented and tasty too. We also popped into Lost Property on the other side of the hotel for cocktails.
We shall definitely be returning to Nottingham... it's a quirky, lively and friendly place... a lot more to it than you might think.

Room was perfect, staff were very helpful, bathroom was huge and loved the shower. Breakfast was amazing, and couldn't fault the location.

Unusual rooms shapes , refreshing from your standard shaped room. Good food and friendly service. Great location for getting about.

Check in staff were friendly but the rest were loud and were more interested in each other than speaking to guests. The room was very small but adequate, mostly clean. The bed was very comfortable and sheets so soft and inviting. I’d stay again if it was cheaper. More...

Really lovely hotel, especially for the very reasonable price. Same type of price as premier inn and travel lodge, but much nicer place. Lovely bar downstairs, each room is uniquely decorated. Has some really nice quaint features. Lovely little gym as well. Also has another restaurant upstairs. More...

Great room very clean and comfortable upgraded to a king room which was great, shower over the bath was a let down for such a lovely room would have expected a power shower, large bed very comfortable. Good breakfast lots of choice although would have liked to choose where I sat not have to sit where the hostess told me to sit just because she had already set that table, great location would have given 5 stars if not for those two points. Would recommend to friends and family. More...

Clean & spotless, was given a free upgrade to a larger room. Huge bed & very comfortable unfortunately 2 mattresses put together. Shower was sub standard, very little pressure gym looked great although I didn't use it. Great pub/bar attached, food smelt great & looked good but I didn't eat there. Breakfast was tasty with a good choice but wouldn't have hurt for the hostess to be a bit more approachable. Overall had a good time, would recommend. More...

Mercure Nottingham City Centre has excellent amenities including decent bedding, flat screen TVs and coffee making facilities. The rooms are clean and decorated to high standards. An upgrade to a suite offers even more intriguing decor and more spacious rooms complete with large bathrooms kitted with trendy sinks, taps, mirrors, lighting and other amenities. The rooms are quiet, windows are double glazed and beds are comfortable for the all important good night's sleep. Staff are friendly and professional. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city for easier access to all that Nottingham has to offer. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant and bar that serves a a wide range of drinks including cocktails, spirits, Prosecco and beer. Highly recommended. More...

Room wasn't quite as nice as I thought, but the reception staff were outstanding and really went above and beyond to help us out. The staff really made the stay good, even the housekeeping were all really friendly. More...

Great hotel and great rates. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful and I always sleep very well. It is near some large bars so some of the rooms can get a little of the house but earplugs are provided and I really have never been bothered by it. Very historic building with some interesting features in the rooms. Would highly recommend a stay here. It really doesn't get much more central than this! More...

Hotel and rooms were exactly as pictured online. Only gripe would be the noise but since it's a city centre hotel there's not much they can do about that! (they did provide ear plugs)
