What do you love most about your job?
Welcome to my business McDowalls, we are a general practice firm of surveyors covering agency, property managements and valuation matters in London and the South East. My day to day life is as much about the people I meet and deal with every day and I enjoy the fact I don't know what is about to happen with the every next phone call.
Life is varied and exciting with East London in particular changing daily
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked for McDowalls since 1999 after I finished university and got my degree in Estate Management. That lead me from South Wales to East London and I've never looked back. In 2003 I was made the youngest ever partner in the firm then in 2011 the opportunity to buy the business outright was too good to miss so I grasped the chance to run the entire business.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a professional approachable firm where it's not all about making money its about providing quality advice to the public and our clients. Of course we hope that this approach leads to doing business but it's not the be all and end all for us. I great detail of our work comes through recommendation and our existing clients appreciate the help we provide , if we don't personally know the answer we know someone who does and that helps build relationships in the long term.
