Martin really enhanced the drinks reception and wedding breakfast by entertaining the guests in small groups or at their tables. He started as soon as the ceremony was over and stayed until the band was ready to start after the meal. People loved his gentle style of magic, they were fascinated by how he achieved his magic and whole tables were giving him a round of applause. What Martin says on his website is exactly what he does. He was well worth his fee-I can’t recommend him more highly. More...

Fantastic and mind blowing, it was a pleasure to have you at our wedding you was loved by us and our guests young and old. He even took the time to show our nephew a few tricks as he is really into magic. One of the guests who has a wedding coming up was also interested in hiring you. Just proves how good you are at what you do. Martin also went round taking photos and uploaded them to our website, he went above and beyond. It was a pleasure to have you there. More...

I booked Martin to wander around Easingwold Golf Clubhouse during the evening of my Captain’s Day. He arrived a good hour before I had booked him and after we had met, he immediately began to wander around the tables of members on the patio who were braving the fairly strong breeze.
As I was busily organising the evening’s procedures, I heard gasps, wows, shouts of “Unbelievable”, “How the devil did you do that?” and so on. Later on in the lounge, as members returned for the Prize giving event, he sauntered from table to table showing his illusions, tricks and magic which were very varied, amazing and jaw dropping. He brings with his tricks a really pleasant and relaxed manner and people instantly like him.
To sum the evening up, almost all of the members present that evening came to me later on, thanked me for a super evening and expressed their delight that I had invited Martin. He was an absolute bonus to a great day. Thanks, Martin.

Martin was a brilliant magician and character at our wedding this July.
His magic tricks wowed people over and over again, and kept surpassing expectations as he went round to each table during the dinner.
My new husband in particular loved it and I'm very glad that he could join us for our wedding as it really added something special. Thank you very much!

I can't express just how fantastic Martin was.
All of our guests were wowed and amazed and even the children throughly got involved in the magic!
Martin was the absolute professional even when the kids almost ruined the magic!
I knew when I booked Martin that he was good, I had seen some videos but I wasn't prepared for how genuinely nice he is and how much he made our day better for being there!
Thank you so so much for being a part of our wedding!

Martin designed my website for me in 2014. Since then I have been in constant receipt of new referrals; it has definitely helped my practice to grow. Martin updates the website whenever I ask him to do and is always prompt and efficient. I cannot recommend him enough. More...

Martin recently attended my wife's 40th birthday party which we held at home. His magic was fantastic and the way he engaged with people was first class. Many of my guests commented how great he was and what a fantastic addition to the party he had been. He even taught some very enthusiastic 9 year olds some tricks. He also stayed far longer than we had expected and showed a real desire to entertain which really made a difference More...

What makes a great website?
A website is useless unless it can be found. To get a website found it is essential to have a plan of how you are going to be found. This usually involves:
1) On site optimisation for your planned keywords
2) Lots of fresh, well structured, easy to read, jargon free content that will engage your audience and keep them coming back to your site for more
3) Active social media engagement
Of course the website should also be appealing when a customer lands on it so that factors such as images, colours, fonts, ease of navigation are important too but the best looking website in the world is no good if no-one finds it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Do you already have text and images for the pages?
How long have you been interested in magic?
Since 2003 when I stumbled upon a magic stall in York market, near where I live. A couple of friends invited me to perform at their wedding and from the reactions I received, I was then aware that this was something I could do professionally.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
I usually start by approaching small groups at a drinks reception, introducing myself and showing some close up magic using coins, cards, cords, borrowed rings, borrowed phones etc.
By the time people are sitting down for a formal meal most people will be aware of who I am and will be ready for some serious fun. I perform at tables in between courses. The effects are mostly different to what I would do strolling and I usually keep a few items specially for the wedding couple or the CEO's party.
If appropriate, I can round off an evening with a small cabaret show with audience participation- maybe at a small company dinner or at a gourmet dinner in a restaurant.
My style is easy going, warm and non intrusive. My emphasis is on FUN. I like to have a bit of banter with people but I certainly will try very hard not to offend people.
Most of my magic is aimed at adults but any children at an event will be entertained as well. I have fund things for children to try out and sometimes I find a young helper to assist me.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people have fun, providing people with a lasting memory of their special day, helping people achieve their business goals, variety, learning new things (there's always new things to research ways to improve what I do).
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a passion for what I do and for helping people have fun and achieve their own goals.
