What’s your interior design process?
We remove and repair. We always take out more materials than we put in. We believe in open space, mindfulness in materials and design.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We respond to the client and the building. We never assume a style. We only use materials that are earth based such as wood, stone and gypsum. We never use plastic, laminate or other toxic items that have found their way in to the built environment.
What do you love most about your job?
Each client and each build offers a new experience to learn and grow.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working as an architect for High Fashion houses in Paris, I became disenfranchised with the poor materials and bad craftsmanship wrongly labeled "luxury" I saw the builders working with toxic materials that would only get replaced 6 months later. I left the office and began to explore holistic design. Together with Poppy we explore the concept of "English Zen", often just stripping a building of poor craftsmanship and materials.
