Serving as your company's virtual front door, the website homepage is generally responsible for drawing in a majority of your website's traffic. The homepage needs to wear a lot of hats. Rather than treating it like a dedicated landing page built around one particular action, it should be designed to serve different audiences, from different origins. And in order to do so effectively, it needs to be built with purpose. It needs to incorporate elements that attract traffic, educate visitors, and invite conversions.

Important factors include:

Headline: it needs to give your audience a clear, concise idea what your site has to offer
A primary call to action: Needs to compel visitors to dig deeper into your website and move further down the funnel
Supporting image: Most people are visual. Use an image or a video that clearly indicates what you offer
Benefits: You need to tell yor audience the WHY, keep the copy easy to read and lighweight
Testimonials to support your credibility in the marketplace
Navigation and user journey is very important to decrease your bounce rate from the homepage
To increase the number of leads from your homepage make sure it has a content offer liek an ebook, whitepaper to download
