A 1 star rating is better than the service I received!
I called to gain a quote for a cam chain replacement around 9 months ago.
Price itself was ok, but work undertaken wasn't even to apprentice level.
Rob had replaced the cam chain within a day or so after I received a price, and the vehicle had acceleration and juddering issues from the point of me leaving the garage. Numerous errors were popping up on the dash, as well as oil leaks and excessive fuel usage due to the acceleration problem. The car was returned back to the garage on several occasions and was handed back to me as "repaired", but the issue continued. He even made an accusation that the problem must've been there before he had worked on the car, which wasn't the case!
Rob had listed in a message to me (which I still have), the fault finding tasks he had completed in order to fix the issue. After nearly 2 months without a working vehicle, and no offer of a courtesy car in the meantime, I had given up, assuming the guy evidently isn't a vehicle mechanic. I took my car to PCM in Buckley, who had successfully identified the fault (which Rob had stated he'd checked and was "fine") and repaired it the very same day, with an additional cost of £200! They also confirmed that the fault could've only come about in the works undertaken on the cam chain. I requested a refund and a legal complaints procedure from Manor Lane Garage, but received neither.
This morning, my car has had an issue with the cam chain again. Another garage has confirmed the initial works undertaken on the cam chain has been done "half arsed" and "bodged"! Leaving me with another bill, this time for £950, to properly repair the shoddy work Manor Lane Garage had done.
Avoid this con artist, at least until he's completed his NVQ Level 1 in motor vehicle!

Well where do I start, Robin the owner I cannot praise enough. His hard work and determination to give the customers a brilliant experience. I took a 2005 Subaru Impreza for an engine swap due to the engine having rod knock , I phoned Robin and he came and collected the car straight away, he advised me what engine to get. I got the engine delivered to the garage and the next day work started on the Subaru, within 2 days I was driving the car out of the garage. The mechanics at this garage are on top of everything. They're all a pleasure to talk to and work with. I came to see the car getting done and they let me see the progress each day and they were telling me what they were doing and what was next to be done. After weeks of searching for a decent used car, and getting to the end of our tether, we discovered L & N Car sales at Manor Lane Garage. What a breath of fresh air it was to meet a straight talking a honest dealer by the name of Paul. We got a fair trade in against a nice little Suzuki Swift, which was priced spot on. The level of service has been exceptional, and nothing has been too much trouble for him. I'm a firm believer in first impressions, and am seldom wrong (too many years experience behind me). First, second and third impressions have all been good to say the least. I would highly recommend giving their stock a look over if you're in the market for a change of motor. If they have what you want, then you won't regret opening a conversation at all. No BS, no inflated part ex prices - how can some dealers add £500 to the screen price of a car if you want to part ex?
