About

From our humble beginnings in Sankey's Soap through being the centre of 1,800 performers in the year 2000 in Castlefield Manchester, playing for the Commonwealth Games, and locally during the London and Rio Olympics and in 2016 making costume for Haribo and playing in an Aldi advert, Manchester School of Samba (MSS) have been entertaining crowds in stadiums, on parades, in clubs, hotels and pop up venues, locally and further afield, and occasionally on National TV and Radio using dance and percussion, since March 1995.

Q&A

Variety, fun and light and shade, plus costume and performance skills!

A noisy fun filled celebration of the joys of being alive using dance and percussion to play the rhythms of various styles of Brazilian Carnival!

Making people happy whilst they lose themselves in our performance.

I wanted to share the joys of carnival with as many as possible!

Because we are an adaptable, fun bunch of performers who deliver a good show.
